I’m on Vauban today. If he settles and jumps soundly I’m confident he’ll be there or thereabouts at the death, and in a perfect world staying-on past all of them
State Man’s only chance is if Constitution Hill was the finished article last year and SM has improved huge chunks, and if the battle hardening makes a difference.
Constitution Hill
To win by TEN LENGTHS OR MORE
@ 3/1
As he is odds on this is a standout bet in my opinion.
There is no need to have more than £5 on and sit back and enjoy the race.
The margin will most likely be shorter but 3/1 couldn’t be missed.
Lowest turnout for this race in living memory.
There were 8 runners in 2011 but that was the smallest I could find, always had a decent turnout.
Dare I say it was a bit boring? He’s great and it was the result I wanted to see with State Man pulling a long way clear of the rest but there was never a moment of drama and I need some drama, some intrigue in my sport. I don’t like watching one sided football or rugby games and I didn’t enjoy Frankel either before anyone asks. Its sport and it was very one sided. Fully appreciate he’s very good just isn’t for me.
Nine lengths eased up a bit and Nico says ” he’s won hard held and anyone who backed him to win by ten lengths or more I apologise.”
No worries Nico, no need to knock em about when they have done so well..simply exceptional.
