Moe I believe you’ll still get 3 placings seeing as I’m assuming when you placed the bet the terms would have stated top 3. The reason I say this is because a couple of years ago I backed Title e/w ante post in the King Edward VII stakes at Royal Ascot, there ended up being only 6 runners and Title finished 3rd, but I still got paid out!

Yes, the each way terms the time the bet was placed will apply irrespective of how many runners actually line up on the day. That is why a lot of each way thieves look at the antepost markets and seek to take advantage of three places in a race they think might cut up into a small field.

No need to worry Moe, Cork and Ben are bang on. It’s irrevelant how many
run. If you back E/W ante post when 8 or more were entered, you get the
1st 3. If you back when 16 or more ante post in a handicap, you get the
    1st 4.

I would swerve this one normally, there’s nothing going to beat CH. I back
odds on once in a blue moon, and never as low as 4/11. For a bit of financial
interest I’ll have a straight F/C on CH and Vauban. Not that I need a financial
interest, I’m just looking forward to seeing, hopefully, a horse that’s going
to emulate such as Istabraq. He looks that good.

BigG do expect State Man to fall in a hole to ? I’ll be interested to see how they ride Vauban , watching brief and pounce late

Chezza’s had 14 I Like To Move “betting without.”

Chezza doesn’t think there’s much between him and State Man and the latter might fall in a heap after taking on “The Hill.”

Chezza wouldn’t back Vauban with your money, dear reader.

For a 5yo to win the Champion Hurdle, it either has to be exceptional (Night Nurse/See You Then) or in a really lousy renewal (Katchit/Espoir D’Allen).

Vauban’s not exceptional and it isn’t a lousy renewal.

I just feel I’m like to move it will get tapped when they go for home , he,s very ” New One ” like , that step up in distance they tried makes me believe NTD thinks the same , I’ll be honest I can’t wait to see CH , the rest are bridesmaids …. Ugly bridesmaid that you wouldn’t touch even after 10 pints ..

I’ve had a small bet at 10 lengths or more at 3-1 with Skybet. The only thing that put me off a larger bet was the fact that connections have said they intend to head to Aintree and/or Punchestown, so I doubt they’ll be going flat out today.

If he’s as good as they say, then I hope he’s able to show it…..

However, it does show the dearth of 2m hurdlers currently, and for quite a few years. And nothing is being done about it…..
