This Rhinestone Cowboy has impressed me and I duly obliged myself to the 3/1 after the wincanton race. Its ok saying he hasn’t done this or he has’nt beat owt,but like Jim says you can only beat the ones in front and he has done that.Ha sdone nothing wrong, and I hope this is one horse who will have a very good future in front of him.

    Hey Colin,

Would a horse beating Hors La Loi by 21 lengths on level weights not impress you? Thats how far Intersky beat HLL by in the Xmas hurdle, and before you say HLL would not go on the ground, just let me say IF would have preferred better ground also!

Please don’t feel sorry for Intersky, if Liam Cooper gives him a good ride, he will win. If IF does not, I’ll have a big slice of humble pie to eat!!!!!

Hi John, I hope he wins for you ;)

My reasoning is, HLL gets better as the winter goes on, Xmas at Kempton in the mud is not for him. In last years Christmas hurdle he was turned over by Landing Light & Bilboa. Then went on to improve & win at Wincanton on better ground, & then improved a bit more when he won the CH.

If HLL’s campaign has gone the same way this year, he should have been well beatable at Kempton, but more competitive at Wincanton, but he got stuffed.

If Hors La Loi wins, I’ll streak around my workplace for 15 minutes on Friday morning.

If Rhinestone Cowboy gets round I think he’ll win. I’m just not to sure about his jumping though and he’s going to be under more pressure than he’s ever been under before. I agree with you though Beaker, I think Jonjo will train the winner.

American racing guys say that if racing people are prepared to split hairs endlessly about the tiniest merits of two stand-out horses – don’t get involved in the argument  – admit they have equal chances, give a bot to the ‘field’  and back either one if it’s longer than 2/1.

Judging by all the internet talk – this seems to apply to this race – except it’s three horses.

So, for me back any of the three that’s 5/1 or better.  Go Rooster.

I have some pretty good speed figures that says Intersky Falcon is well ahead, we all know Santenay ran a good second that day, but I have Santenay running faster the race before, I will go

Santenay to win and Intersky to follow him home.

The thing about HLL is his cruising speed and stamina – or so it seems to me, anyway.

The other day I read a comment on the RP website on his running in one race, to the effect that he was pulling hard early on… and yet he still managed to come with a wet sail at the finish and pull away from his field! I hope he does it tomorrow… but without necessarily pulling hard early on.

You guys that keep laying Rinestone should give up betting, there are thousands of better horses to lay.Ever since he beat my back Liberman he has been paying his way,and each race loads of people keep saying what a great lay he is.Are you blind or ill…The best way to make money in racing is to see potential,4 and 4.2 has been available on Betfair all day with an even saver at the place market, now thats a bet.

Well done to all of those who backed Rooster Booster, tremendous run, I salute all those who backed him.

Roll on Aintree, let us see the real Intersky Falcon win!

I have to say I was on Intersky today, in fact I didn’t fancy the Rooster at all, well lets just say what an awesome performance he put up. If RC had put up a performance like that everyone would be saying "thats the best hurdler I have ever seen". All credit to RB, Hobbs and Johnson, fantastic performance.

Grasshopper – I thinkthe errors RC made show that he is anything but a decent bet for next years race. Not a natural jumper but ran a blinder to finish where he did. I must say I couldn’t forget Rooster’s defeats (gallant as they were)  in H’cap company and couldn’t convince myself he’d improved. How wrong I was. He looked good and it’ll take one to beat him next year, although Back In Front looked pretty serious today.

What must RB’s previous Owner/Trainer be thinking now? From an ordinary handicapper to Champion in the hands of P Hobbs. Ooops!
