At least we were saved the farce of Nicky taking CH out this morning due to the change in going.
March 12, 2024 at 12:09 #1684798State Man ‘boosted’ to Evens on 365, right now.
March 12, 2024 at 12:16 #1684799Somehow I think Henderson would have let him run. It is “The Only Day That Matters” after all.
March 12, 2024 at 15:25 #1684925State Man will obviously probably win, but value is value.
I have massive prices on both Iberico Lord 30 and Nemean Lion 38.
Done Nemean Lion in the betting without market too at 10/1, with savers on Iberico Lord and part saver on Irish Point.
Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2024 at 15:35 #1684930Workman like but that was probably due to the ground….job done.
March 12, 2024 at 15:38 #1684933Bloody Luccia cost me my tricast , he deserves his day but that is miles off CH , he,d have won by even farther than last year
March 12, 2024 at 15:39 #1684934Simple.
Luccia did really well for 3rd too
March 12, 2024 at 15:42 #1684936Good performance by State Man, but what a disgraceful comment by Mullins about Henderson.!
Value Is EverythingMarch 12, 2024 at 15:42 #1684937A deserved win for a tough, genuine, high-class hurdler.
But Constitution Hill would have beaten him a furlong.
March 12, 2024 at 15:42 #1684939W.Mullins on ITV, just now, on the win without Constitution Hill running in it:
“To win a Champion Hurdle you’ve got to turn up”.Ouch!
March 12, 2024 at 15:44 #1684941Bit sharp of Willie ….. He may have to pay for that at Punchestwown
March 12, 2024 at 15:44 #1684942Ginger, nothing a lot of TRF’s have not said themselves
However I agree that Mullins should be more gracious in victoryCharles Darwin to conquer the World
March 12, 2024 at 15:45 #1684943State Man has won more grade 1s than Constitution Hill has had races !
March 12, 2024 at 15:46 #1684944Despite this not being the most memorable of Champion Hurdles, State Man is a deserving champion and I’m pleased he’s had his day.
March 12, 2024 at 15:46 #1684945HDLG – On that ground I am not sure even CH would have won as far as last year, let alone further.
March 12, 2024 at 15:47 #1684946State Man’s fourth race this season. He seemed all right, though.

Very surprised he didn’t go off 1/4 or even shorter. What was going to beat him?
March 12, 2024 at 15:49 #1684948“State Man has won more grade 1s than Constitution Hill has had races !”
Exactly. Mullins runs his horses. I know it would be good if there was a bit more competition but fair play to him.
