At least we were saved the farce of Nicky taking CH out this morning due to the change in going.

But Constitution Hill would have beaten him a furlong.
W.Mullins on ITV, just now, on the win without Constitution Hill running in it:
“To win a Champion Hurdle you’ve got to turn up”.Ouch!

Despite this not being the most memorable of Champion Hurdles, State Man is a deserving champion and I’m pleased he’s had his day.
HDLG – On that ground I am not sure even CH would have won as far as last year, let alone further.
State Man’s fourth race this season. He seemed all right, though.
Very surprised he didn’t go off 1/4 or even shorter. What was going to beat him?
