Binny not attending does take away the gloss from what was the race of the jumping season so far.
Still – Menorah
1st
Hurricane Fly
2nd
Dunquib
3rd
– I advise a combination tricast.
I respect Peddlers, but he could lack a turn of foot. Mille Chief CANNOT WIN.

March 15, 2011 at 09:01 #345066The gamble started on Hurricane Fly late afternoon and drifted once the going was announced, GOOD (Good To Soft in places), this will be once again a bookies festival and there is value to be had, I’m on Oscar Whisky but I reckon the ground is against him here have antepost 12/1 on him but like to lay, Overturn and Clerks Choice are value imo. Hurricane FLy has pissed up on bad ground, won after a long lay off in the Rabobank but only just, was that maybe just thr ground though, shame there is no Binocular he would have won imo.
There’s no worries about Oscar Whiskey acting on the ground RR, though possibly stamina would come in to it more on softer. Ran well on it in the Supreme last year. Had he jumped better that day would’ve been much closer to Menorah.
Value Is EverythingMarch 15, 2011 at 14:26 #345183Hurricane Fly now 4.2….the price has collapsed since Cue Card dire effort
March 15, 2011 at 14:58 #345189As mentioned, I really fancy Hurricane Fly, but have had a small ew bet on Khyber Kym. Too big.
March 15, 2011 at 15:02 #345192I’m on KK to win and Thousand Stars e/w at 50s (bet a few days ago).
But i just had to chuck Hurricane Fly into a double with Quevega!Had to switch thoughts after Binnie’s withdrawal.
March 15, 2011 at 15:25 #345193What a run by Hurricane Fly, wow.
March 15, 2011 at 15:26 #345194that looked really really fast
March 15, 2011 at 15:27 #345195Ruby is such a genius the greatest i or anyone else will ever seen
Good horse
March 15, 2011 at 15:30 #345196He didn’t win put Peddlers Cross put in a hell of a performace. Certainly answers the doubters that he isn’t quick enough for 2m
March 15, 2011 at 15:33 #345197Hurricane Fly would have beaten Binocular imo, Khyber Kim was no where couldnt find, with Mille CHief no where and beating Celestial Halo most CH’s look redundant in recent years.
Maybe The McCain yard have the option of been a bit handier in the future after at one point it looked liked Hurricane Fly would hack up but Peddlers Cross kept on going.
March 15, 2011 at 15:34 #345198Get in!! I owe Ruby a few pints after Al Ferof (ew) and now Hurricane Fly!!
Had the forecast and, like I said in my analysis – Menorah beat stayers in the International – he had no answer to the pure speed of Hurricane Fly.
Let’s enjoy a cracking performance from a very good horse, but spare a thought for Binocular. Taking into consideration the proximity of Peddlers Cross to the winner and how much Binocular would have improved from their meeting at Newbury, he would surely have gone close.
Quite chuffed with my preview of the race on page 22 – got just about everything spot-on.

Well there’s a boost to the Irish economy. The pubs will be full tonight. They’ll be flowing into the streets if the daily double arrives in the Mares race.

All honours to the first pair. The rest simply not good enough.
March 15, 2011 at 15:39 #345200I Hate being right all the time; as I pointed out, beating a tough consistent horse like Solwhit was by far the best piece of form going into this race. I thought HF ran quite free, but still held Peddlers Cross well.
Peddlers Cross is a mighty animal, can’t wait to see him chasing.March 15, 2011 at 15:40 #345201Peddler’s Cross would win many Champion Chases if they send him chasing.
