PaddyPower giving a fiver free bet so I put it EW on my wee pal Foveros. Also got the Nicholls horse who stays and should like the ground, and Rajinsky who has a better draw and in better heart than his flop last year

    Foveros
    Rajinsky
    Scaramanga

All ew. Good luck everybody. Chaaaaarge!

Arguably the best handicapped horse won. I only swerved him coz of quicker ground but he coped alright.

I didn’t have a workable recent handicap form for either of the first two so I was rather stuffed there. Worried about Mullins runners and Henderson bowls a googly! Two trainers I regularly fall short of getting a handle on in either discipline.

Goobinator at least got me a few e.w sheckles , he lost his way over hurdles last season but I’ll be playing him back over the timber this year

Indeed HDLG, a very decent effort from Goobinator stepped up a couple of grades.

Yes, his hurdles form fell away earlier this year but he seems on a very workable mark at 126 and there’s plenty of opportunities off that mark. Got him pencilled in for my TTF List.

National Hunt horses filling 4 of the first 5 places if including Elysian Flame in that. Hardly surprising given the distance and time of year i suppose. Not sure, in hindsight, why i didn’t predict this

Good to see Nicky get one over on Willie heading into NH season. Hopefully a fightback on the cards for Britain.

Buzz was definitely a paddock positive today but thought he would want the ground a big softer. Goobinator went to post early so never saw him but he ran a great race to be 4th well done HDLG and all his supporters.

Having had the chance to have a really good look at most of the runners in the paddock and what a show that was, have to say that Burning Victory stood out on looks and stature, not big and muscled up like the colts but tall and solid through and through a really handsome mare. I did back her because of all the positive vibes coming from her supporters on here..so thank you but what a shame she didn’t win it she was given a lovely ride by Buick…so close.

Henderson wasn’t there to accept the trainers prize and we had to listen to Murphy bigging him up saying ‘When you get a call from Mr. Henderson you Jump’
Buzz was a great win for Murphy just a shame that once again he had to apologise for his behaviour.

Anyway well done to Buzz it was a very exciting race. :good: Jac
