According to the David Pipe website, Celestial Gold will not run this season due to a minor problem similar to that suffered by Well Chief last season. However it is also stated that Well Chief is shaping well. Let’s hope he comes back as good as he was.

this just goes to show that horses should be run when they are right, because it can so quickly go wrong. celestial gold only had to runs last year and obviously wont run this season. another wasted talent imo

I sincerely hope we see well chief this season and on the note of celestial gold, surely pipes dropping of Our Vic from King George in preference to CG, at last entry stage looks like a lost chance to me. As its by no certainty any horse will make a given race, see CG and Impek, so run them while you can if you ask me.
