The Dubai Carnival kicks off next Thursday. Any news on horses likely to make the trip from the UK/Ireland? I see Banknote will be the Queens first runner there.

January 13, 2009 at 17:55 #203654I don’t suppose anyone knows when The RP are doing their Dubai carnival pull-out? I don’t tend to buy it during the week but would make an exception for that.

Dammit! I’ll have to get to a newsagents sharp-ish. I’m suprised it wasn’t a splash on their website.
Thanks Richard!
January 13, 2009 at 23:22 #203761Still no sign of any jump racing being run on the turf over their.
January 14, 2009 at 00:38 #203775Really good pull out today. Looking down the list of horses running over there I got really excited about this!
Sad I know, but I love my flat racing a lot
January 14, 2009 at 00:50 #203778Also – anyone know where we can place bets from day 1 of the carnival? Any suggestions?
January 14, 2009 at 07:41 #203850Betfair cover it, as do all bookmakers.
January 14, 2009 at 19:28 #203941Hi Everyone,
I see lots of horses targeted for the turf events – am sure the Sheema Classic and Dubai Duty Free will be as competitive as ever – but if the World Cup was being run tomorrow – who would line up?
KANDIDATE – bit like The Pilgarlic back in the day in The Grand National, runs every year – will never win
ASIATIC BOYErrr…. thats it for me
Over to you guys – who’s gonna run?
January 14, 2009 at 19:33 #203942Might De Kock run Eagle Mountain? Wrong surface, but his horse’s best distance.
January 14, 2009 at 20:20 #203946I imagine Jalil might be specifically trained for the race (he wasn’t last year, even though he ran in it). I was hoping Cocoa Beach may have targeted at the DWC but it seems she has stayed in America.
January 14, 2009 at 21:12 #203956Honour Devil.
January 14, 2009 at 22:42 #203973Albertus Maximus from the US
Japan Cup Dirt winner and previous World Cup flop Kane Hekili also in it and Daiwa Scarlet from the East too

Brave Tin Soldier for tommorow night
January 15, 2009 at 01:03 #203997Racing post have posted their pullout on their site, and Timeform are giving away a free card for tomorrow’s meeting. Good on them both.
January 15, 2009 at 01:44 #203999I hope to see Sadeed race Happy Boy over there a few times an then to the World Cup
January 15, 2009 at 02:42 #204008I see Happy Boy runs tomorrow under a new owner and trainer, i dont know who this Shafya the trainer is but he seems to have alot of former Godolphin runners, this was the race it won last year, i was on at 20s e/w and the rsult was never in doubt very impressive, my money will b on again.
