Have some double money riding over to Steinbeck from the Sariska win, but may have to cover with Canford Cliffs now.
June 10, 2009 at 15:53 #233168I see he is entered up after all….apologies if I put anyone off.
June 11, 2009 at 19:04 #233393Looks like your original assesment may be right after all after Aidan O’briens comments today "no better than 50-50 that he will run at Ascot"
June 11, 2009 at 23:39 #233443Phew, I was surprised to see him entered to be honest.
June 12, 2009 at 00:38 #233447IMO something wrong with owners and trainers who’ve already run a good and speedy 2yo 3 times by mid-May.
I don’t see anything wrong at all. A few years back, I remember a very fast 2 Y O called Horage who won something like 9 races in a row … the good ol’ days
June 12, 2009 at 02:56 #233460Well remembered; Horage also went on to win the St James’ Palace Stakes as a 3yo.

I was a teenager then. I’d backed him and his SP was 18-1 I think. He slipped the field some way from home and stole something like a 3 length lead. The hot favourite Tolomeo came with a good rattle but failed by a head to catch him.
Nice horse Horage
June 12, 2009 at 04:13 #233474I was eleven, and already a veteran!
