Ive had time to browse through some old books and papers. What do you reckon to this?
Using the RP since Friday 20th Dec I looked at Top Rated Postmark horses that had won at least one of their last two races, joint Top Rated included.
You could use any daily paper as long as you stuck to the same one. There wouldnt be any joint top rated with a Daily.I ran the idea through a few old copies of the Daily Mail it showed a reasonable profit.
The Result-To a £1 level stake was + £37.10.
There were 116 selections and 47 winners.
If you are interested todays selections are…
2.20 Ling-Mutabassir…………..Lost
3.50 Ling-Satlecom……………..Won 2/1
Maybe a starting point for further research.Even as it is using only £1 level stake up to now has proved profitable(I stress up to now)Nothing definite in this game.

January 7, 2003 at 16:37 #44327Im sure this can be refined for example it gave 30 selections on Boxing Day probably far too many, perhaps a minimum f/c SP could be introduced.
An interesting fact in the races where 2 selections were indicated the results were (L,Won4/1)(L,Won4/1)(L,Won4/1)(L,Won6/5)(L,L)(L,Won8/1).
There are numerous other filters that could be beneficial.
It did give losing runs of 6(twice)and 5(twice).
Any thoughts/ideas,criticisms etc welcome.

January 7, 2003 at 19:21 #44328Hi Kersly,
You could try these filters;
First 3 in the betting,
Not less than 2/1 in F-SP
Less than 16 runners flat / 20 NH.
Then filter races by value.
That’s my bit!
