I was thinking that Marble would point out that it was Moehat who started the Supaseus charge.
I neeed to thank you mate to be honest I never read the other threads…….unfortunately only showed a small profit but could have been a big loss if not for your post..Many thanks! and well done all who were on
I only posted the story because Moe mentioned Supaseus, and I had only just read it a few minutes before.I saw Supaseus’ dismal effort in Dubai on the TV in the pub, and at the time thought it was a combination of hating the dirt and being over-faced.
The thing is, it is very important to have a REASON for a poor performance or an improved performance, and landing on his ass in the plane provided one.
October 3, 2009 at 23:38 #251548Well, it’s all about the horses, really, isn’t it….
There are the superstar horses and then the horses that must be a pleasure to be involved with, and Nanton is one of them.
October 4, 2009 at 01:00 #251569Just read this thread from start to finish and credit due to Moehat,Gerald and Marble who all mentioned the winner of one of the toughest handicaps of the year!Well done! Nanton ran a blinder too!
October 5, 2009 at 22:06 #251990Thanks, TAPK. I’m still bleeding…
October 5, 2009 at 22:35 #252001I really thought your horse had got up to win, Max; always seems unfair when a finish is that close, and waiting for a photo result takes the edge off the race, win or lose. In the meantime, Cesarewitch anybody?
October 6, 2009 at 00:04 #252028Glad you won. Couldn’t happen to a nicer bunch than you and the gang.
I’m bleeding because I put enough on with Ladbrokes at 66/1 to pay for a trip to the Breeders Cup if the horse won. I feel a bit deflated to be honest.
Are you venturing down the 453 to any of the Nottingham October meetings this year?
October 6, 2009 at 00:28 #252035You did tell me about the best meetings for the autumn but I’ve forgotten them. More likely to go to Southwell at some point. Definately going back to Nottingham early next season; absolutely loved the place.
October 6, 2009 at 14:16 #252097Moe, great thing about Southwell is that you’ve got plenty of choice this coming winter! Still think you should come to Nottingham one Wednesday. Some cracking maidens and usually an eight race card.
Bumped into a chap I occasionally have a natter with at Nottingham last Wednesday and he mentioned a two year old from a once all-conquering yard which is apparently causing sleepless nights amongst the Montys lining the Watered gallop and allegedly he’ll be starting off at Nottingham in a couple of weeks. Love this time of year.
