Wannabe King (20/1 with Hills) and Marajaa (50/1 with Ladbrokes) will do for me.

You sure do "Wannabe King" but there"s only one on here!Good luck with your selections though!TAPK is with
DOCOFTHEBAY
at 33/1 and
CREDIT SWAP
at 25/1!
October 3, 2009 at 14:04 #251458Credit swap is a N/R
Tryst at 16/1 and Greylami 20/1 would be the ones i’d take a look at over this distance. They’re both pretty well treated and i think the 9f might just suit one or both.
October 3, 2009 at 16:03 #251474A real moth to a flame race. I’ve backed
Sirvino
because Barron (the trainer of Coastal Bluff who ran up a similar sequence), really rates this animal and it has the stamp of a Pipedreamer or a Halling about it. I’ve also backed
Kaolak
to cap off John Ryan’s magic season, but my main bet is Braveheart’s
Tartan Gigha
at 66/1.
Drawn on the fence (in the Cap Jaluca box), he has finished
21
over 9f on this ground and has received the classic Johnno preparation for this. I.e. tailed off last time out. Apparently, you can make an LSP with this type of horse from this particular yard – as the fortune tellers and psychics who backed Laa Rayb in the Golden Mile will attest.
Best of luck today, team.
October 3, 2009 at 16:45 #251481Was going to have another bet on Wannabe King at 20’s but his price has come in again so didn’t bother. Had my bet on Bencoolen 66/1.
October 3, 2009 at 17:04 #251488Credit Swap didn’t eat up and is a Non Runner.
October 3, 2009 at 17:22 #251491That ground dosen’t look good to firm to me. This seems to happen alot on saturdays.
October 3, 2009 at 18:21 #251499I did Almiqaad last night at 11s, but just done Bencoolen at 150s as well.
October 3, 2009 at 18:52 #251501Great shout, Marble.

Top class effort Max,i thought he had won!
October 3, 2009 at 19:43 #251508Well done Marble
October 3, 2009 at 19:49 #251509I was thinking that Marble would point out that it was Moehat who started the Supaseus charge.
October 3, 2009 at 20:00 #251512I think we’re all overlooking the fact that Nanton again ran his heart out from a rotten draw; what a superstar..and douginho and I still have our hopes of him running in The Cesarewich [ew double as recommended by douginho…c’mon Nanton!]Oh; trainer says will probably go to Dubai instead..never mind…whats c’mon Nanton in Arabic?
October 3, 2009 at 20:21 #251516All £8 of it! Seriously, though, it’s such fun going through these handicap races, but what really makes it is being able to throw ideas around with people on the forum, and get such great advice/information from everyone.

I neeed to thank you mate to be honest I never read the other threads…….unfortunately only showed a small profit but could have been a big loss if not for your post..Many thanks! and well done all who were on
October 3, 2009 at 22:12 #251533Poor old Nanton! Had no chance from his draw but still gave it a hell of a go losing by just a length to the winner. It was another big handicap with a farcical draw bias (aka Ayr Gold Cup). the draw of the first 6 home were:
26) Supaseus
32) Tartan Gigha
4) Nanton
14) Applause
24) Shavansky
29) Stevie ThunderAlso the next horse home from a single figure draw was Alfathaa in 13th (some 12 lengths behind Nanton). Therefore I am claiming a moral victory for Nanton lol!
Still, like Moe, I got the 33-1 each way! Glad I didn’t end up backing him each way for the autumn double as looks like Dubai is the gameplan!!!
October 3, 2009 at 22:47 #251539Given that the horses all went across to the one side there must have been a lot of horses that didn’t get a run at all. I read that the race is usually won by more of a hold up horse, but favoured Supaseus’s jockeys front running tactics on this occasion. Good to see the horse come back from such an unfortunate injury.
