VtC, Nice!
September 24, 2011 at 21:51 #371943Cracking run by Nanton, staeyd on relentlessly to finish a couple of inches short of second place. I presume he will be back for the Cesarewitch over double the distance.

have to laugh, funny innit
September 25, 2011 at 08:01 #371963Well done Darren83 for starting the thread. Thirteen posters and four of the first six home including the first two. Hills and Corals paying only four places how they can keep a straight face when they are taking people’s money…..
Two of my three didn’t trouble the judge, but dear old Nanton!! Got 40s and a nice return despite backing all three of my selections.
Not long now to proper jumps racing, but still plenty to enjoy on the flat side including Breeders Cup and the Arc meeting and the Autumn double .
Roll on Cheltenham!September 25, 2011 at 11:10 #371973sporting sam; Nice Style actually ran quite a decent race [not mentioned at all on Ch 4 but mentioned several times on Radio 5]; finished @ 6th or 7th and not far off the placed horses. Think it’s worth watching out for him if he has a breathing op [which he possibly needs]. Winner had a similar profile to him as well; wish I’d read VtoC’s post before I’d gone to work, and hope he changed his mind and put a bet on. Let’s sort out the Cesarewitch which is very much a stats race.
September 25, 2011 at 16:30 #372014Cheers Zenjah, was very nice, but should have been nicer………
Moe, went with the original selections, and had a nice return from Nanton, and also a decent run for my money from Crown Counsel.
In the end I did 20p Combination Exactas/Trifectas with my 4 selections……was agonizing waiting for the photo result to come in. Got a very good lift from the Exacta, over £500, but for the sake of a nostril, I lost out on the Trifecta. 40’s, 25’s, and 33’s……I’m trying hard not to think about it. Don’t know whether to laugh or cry.
September 25, 2011 at 21:51 #372046Dear old Nanton. It made up for me missing him in Sesenta’s Ebor. Yet again a few lbs off from a good claiming jockey wins the race.
