Or perhaps the behaviour shown towards Dunne by Frost is the reason she was ostracised by both male and female jockeys during and after it and why she finds herself cut adrift in France after seemingly losing any support from her previous boss.
Dunne meanwhile continues to be supported by those who were supportive of him before the whole affair and has actually begun to pick up rides for Nicky Henderson among others.
Bryony Frost is not some doe eyed innocent little girl in this! And this is not some form of war being waged by a whole army of patriarchal misogynists! Some of you lot need to give your heads a wobble!
December 9, 2025 at 08:25 #1747068Good grief. That sounds like a sort of ‘ she was asking for it’ comment. Very un pleasant and I’d like to think the mods will get it deleted.
December 9, 2025 at 16:14 #1747094No, it was simply a “she’s asserted Robbie Dunne called her nasty names simply beachside she’s a woman” comment.
Her former boss, people she used to share the weighing room with both male and female and seemingly the owners she used to ride for have seen it differently.
You’re clearly desperate for it to be seen as sexism as well. It seems the wider racing community and those who have sat alongside them both disagree with you and her. And now you’re both foaming at the mouth.
December 9, 2025 at 16:30 #1747095He exposed himself to a young girl. You think that’s acceptable? You know what, I’ve been standing up to people like you and Dunne for over fifty years and I’m not going to be part of a forum that defends comments like yours. I’m no shrinking violet but I have experienced male bullying in the workplace, flashing, obscene comments etc. and even though I’ve stood up to it it leaves it’s mark. Your comment when I read it this morning turned my stomach. Stick your forum…
December 9, 2025 at 17:22 #1747098Cider why do you think the other riders/trainers/owners see it differently ? , Dunne was suspended , while this was reduced he saw fit to apologise for his behaviour , from what I can read Bryony is very happy in France , she has nothing to prove to anyone , when Dunne retires it’ll only be news because of his actions towards her , as I said earlier he’s a journeyman , she’s achieved much more
December 9, 2025 at 18:19 #1747105“it was simply a “she’s asserted Robbie Dunne called her nasty names simply beachside she’s a woman” comment.”
Would Dunne have called a man a f***ing whore and a f***ing slut? Would he have shoved his dick towards a man’s face? Don’t think so.
Would he have got up in Hannah Welch’s face shouting and swearing if she was Harry not Hannah? Possibly, but I have my doubts.December 9, 2025 at 18:33 #1747108The most important part of this story in my view is that Bryony’s father had a moderate horse that won little in the UK, but collected over €10,000 in prize money in France.
She is happy racing for decent money in France.

If she’d chosen to escalate Dunne’s conduct beyond the incestuous world of horse-racing, he could well have found himself with a criminal record and be on the sex offenders’ register. I daresay he’d still be defended by some on this forum and supported by most of the same trainers.
Moehat is a valued member of this forum and I hope that Dunne and his supporters aren’t responsible for driving another talented female away. “Patriarchal misogyny” sadly remains an issue in racing but I hope it will be purged from this forum.
December 9, 2025 at 20:08 #1747116Agreed Tonge.
The more I know the less I understand.
December 9, 2025 at 20:21 #1747118I don’t know why HDLG, but they clearly do. Not one of them (male or female) spoke in solidarity with what she was alleging. Tom Scudamore spoke out against what she was doing and even went as far as to corroborate that what Dunne was alleging about some of her riding being close to dangerous.
Dunne felt it was Bryony’s riding that had caused his mount to fall and die. I think it’s understandable if some insults might be aimed at her in the heat of the moment.
Normally when these sort of things like sexism, misogyny or other forms of abuse, when one accuser comes forward, there a slew of others that follows. That hasn’t happened here. Quite the opposite in fact.
I don’t doubt that some of the language Robbie Dunne used was insulting and crass. But Bryony Frost was heard to give plenty back. She’s not some innocent party who’s played no part in this whole incident.
Too reply to you GaG, As ive said, there’s undoubtedly been language used and acts of behaviour that aren’t cool. But to suggest it’s of a misogynistic or sexist nature is wrong. They were both giving plenty of insults back and forth. She’s played on the sexist card and that’s even more reprehensible in my opinion. And it seems also the opinion of people within racing of every demographic! Bryony Frost is the one who stands alone here! Not one person has supported her publicly!
December 9, 2025 at 20:31 #1747119If patriarchal misogyny was a factor in this case then why weren’t there a whole line of female jockeys speaking out against him?
Radical feminists are desperate to paint every man as a misogynist these days. All you ever have to do is open any MSM outlet these days to see it for yourself. Look at the amount of coverage international women’s day gets on the BBC in comparison to international men’s day.
The lists of all women job interview panels. An insistence that companies strive to obtain gender pay parity regardless of skill or experience balance in the work places.
More women MP’s, more female CEO’s. Instead of just hiring on ability to do the job as the only true barometer.
Men are under attack at every opportunity both in the media and the universities.
I could go on.
December 9, 2025 at 21:07 #1747122Cider he admitted his behaviour was wrong
December 9, 2025 at 21:23 #1747123Dunne exposed himself to her. Does any male person on this forum understand how a woman feels when a man behaves that way towards her? Just how defiled you feel in some way. And yet somehow society still can make women think that they must have done something to encourage such behaviour? When it happened to me I was a young girl walking down a country lane. And yes, part of me thought ‘ maybe my fault for walking down a country lane by myself’. Nearly sixty years ago but I can still feel the panic as I ran past him towards, thankfully, a busy road. I’m fine with Dunne losing his temper with Bryony if he felt that she was responsible for his horse falling. But not with his misogynistic behaviour towards her in other ways. Or the way that some men still think such behaviour is acceptable.
December 9, 2025 at 21:30 #1747124He admitted to some of his behaviour being wrong HDLG. He hasn’t said which parts.
Moehat. He admitted to being naked in front of her when walking from the sauna to the changing room. He’s hardly a serial flasher going round sniffing her saddle and jerking off in front of her.
I think we can appreciate the differences between your incident and what has happened between Dunne and Frost.
December 9, 2025 at 22:13 #1747126You honestly think he didn’t behave that way on purpose? Do you not understand that as women we can see the difference between normal behaviour and intimidating behaviour? What a low opinion you seem to have of women.
December 9, 2025 at 23:03 #1747129As blokes I don’t think we can fully understand how you feel about these things Moe. All the more reason to respect their feelings IMO.
