Race fell apart a bit and jumped right at times but job done for GDC.
February 6, 2022 at 13:30 #1581728Race didnt fall apart…. He took it apart, the correct horse finished 2nd
If he runs in the jlt, bobs in bother
February 6, 2022 at 13:32 #1581730It was a very good performance but I am not sure it was as wildly impressive as Gary O’Brien and Ruby Walsh were saying on RTV. It looked like he reached for one or two fences to me which would worry me a little bit at Cheltenham. But he should win with a clear round.
February 6, 2022 at 13:36 #1581733Course it fell apart a bit ham. Capodonna fell early for a start.
February 6, 2022 at 13:37 #1581734Yep wasn’t anywhere near as impressed. Suspect he was still clear best but the race did fall apart.
Capodanno and beacon edge didn’t complete and a number of the others made plenty of mistakes.
The race was gifted on a plate to GDC.
Prior to today I though GDC would beat Bob in the turners. Now I’m not sure who I’d side with if they meetFebruary 6, 2022 at 13:39 #1581736Bob will beat GDC in Turners i think. Mullins will likely do the sensible thing and go for this.
February 6, 2022 at 13:40 #1581738I hope he goes here, but after hearing Ruby the Turners looks a very real option.
February 6, 2022 at 13:45 #1581740Ruby ‘works for Paddy Power’, he probably helped them get people’s money down for the Turners race, prior to Willie confirmimg him for this lol
February 6, 2022 at 13:48 #1581742I do not think this race will necessarily be easier than the Turners. Aren’t we underestimating Bravemansgame? He has done nothing wrong, jumps really well and Ahoy Senor franked the Kempton form yesterday.
I would probably still just favour GDC here but I do not think there should be such a large price difference between him and Bravemansgame.
February 6, 2022 at 13:58 #1581746I think it will be easier potentially of the two. GDC jumps right at times and going back a furlong against Bob in a Championship race is asking for trouble imo. With the Irish domination last year at Cheltenham one would think Mullins will be thinking he has the better horse in the 3 mile race for all that BMG has done not a lot wrong.
February 6, 2022 at 14:56 #1581765Why does capodanno falling mean the race fell apart mike? The grade 1 winner whos form has stood up strongly was in 2nd, a very distant 2nd… gallard du mesnil whos hurdles form ties in with bob even further, bobs hurdles form is stronger than his chase form and if ones been more impressive jumping, its GDC,
Yes capodanno fell, but your basing his form off one run behind bob, not off substance.
The race did not “fall apart” atall.
“ Gifted on a plate” i dont think so, that takes away from what master mcshee is… and the forms pretty clear what he is, a grade 1 novice chaser he had the strongest form in the race today.. bar maybe fury road who was over too short a trip
February 6, 2022 at 15:20 #1581774If the main market rival falls then its reasonable to say the race fell apart a bit. I’m not saying he was gifted it on a plate though lol, as i thought he would win its just a shame Capadonna fell.
February 15, 2022 at 22:23 #1583349Bravemansgame goes into this race rated same as Monkfish.164. Galopin may well have to live up to the hype.
February 15, 2022 at 22:35 #1583350In most years BMG would be even money fav
But galopin looks like a bit of a freak
Should be a cracker
February 15, 2022 at 23:58 #1583361Worring times for Mike007. Looks like Ahoy Senor is going Brown Advisory.
February 16, 2022 at 00:22 #1583367Fine by me couteau. He can be the pacemaker. ;o)
February 16, 2022 at 19:36 #1583528To me this will always be the Totalisator Novices Chase; I remember well Ten Up beating Glandford Brigg in a thriller
