Not sure this is a vintage renewal. I wanted to go Midnight Gun. Looks the part, has a top pedigree, and should come on a ton for the Nottingham win. Unfortunately, he will probably need a miracle to get in. As far as I could see there were only 11 of the 53 on lower ratings.
Of the fancied one’s I didn’t think Qirat was crying out for a stiff mile, and didn’t think Starlore was quite as eyecatching as was made out. He didn’t appear to be going anywhere inside the final furlong.
Mignight Gun was smashed up a bit yesterday. I can only assume someone must have tipped him up. Will he sneek in as per My Mate Mozzie? Hold up jock Marquand booked.
Sadly, Midnight Gun didn’t get in. Needed another pound. Nottingham runner up won yesterday, maybe that would have done the trick?
I’ve went with a couple in this.
I bet a fair few Charles Hills runner, and based on last run, the 33’s looks wrong for Miletus.
Bobsleigh hardly easy to justify, but ran a cracker in The Coventry last year, before not really following that up. Given a rest since those disappointments, and on this surface I’d give him an EW Chance. I was actually hoping for bigger than 50’s, so just chipping away at him just now, and will look to beat that
