    The hosts seldom have top quality on turf and Silver Knott’s form looks solid.

    Third to the subsequent Dewhurst winner and beat Epictetus and Holloway Boy who acquitted themselves well behind Auguste Rodin, now 2,000 Guineas and Derby favourite.

    Was really looking forward to seeing Mysterious Night here who won the prep for this last time out at Woodbine in a very impressive fashion. Couldn’t find any news as to why C. Appleby chose to not enter him here?…

    The odds here favor the Euros who have won this race 9 times (64%) since its inception in 2008.

    – 3 winners have won the Dewhurst (G1) as their final prep;
    – 3 Pilgrim Stakes (G2);
    – 2 Bourbon (G2);
    – 1 Royal Lodge (G2)
    – 1 Grand Criterium (G1);
    – 1 Prix Morny (G1);
    – 1 Somerviolle (G3);
    – 1 Star Appeal;
    – 1 Summer Stakes

    I’ll go with Andthewinneris, this year’s Bourbon winner.

    Good luck, all!

    Silver knott will take plenty if beating

    6/4 means it’s a watching brief though not a betting race
