Modern Games withdrawn by mistake in the last at Del Mar last night, scratched and then reinstated but only allowed to run for purse money which he won..Americans paid dearly for that mistake and it leaves you with a dilemma of how to mark up the comp having never had a situation like this to deal with
My personal take on it would be that we were playing under UK rules so why not follow the bookies decision and pay out on both.
Paddy Power paid me out, they also paid out on the 2nd horse Tiz The Bomb for those that had chosen him..sadly not me.Hope you might consider this an option but happy to go with the flow..believe Modern Games was showing around 15/8 at the time of ‘withdrawal’.

Didn’t realise what a hero that stallhandler was grabbing Frankie from the horse before it went down with him trapped underneath he saved him from serious injury, thankfully it was good news last night that the stallhandler had not sustained serious injury himself.
Relieved to see Albahr walk away unscathed after that.

my take on it is Modern Games won the race fair and square.

well done Rummy..Finally after running these comps for a fair few years I’m stepping down. Have really enjoyed doing them but need to focus on other things. Anyway would have been better if I’d backed them but then they’d probably lose.
Modern Games race was a funny race and because I was working early on Saturday missed the action. Thankfully no horses or humans was seriously injured.
