So You Think is much the best horse in the race imo, and with the dirt riding fast, and his prominent racing style allowing him to avoid much of the kickback, he ought to win this comfortably.
However, that same dirt (and the pace races are run on it) puts a premium on stamina, and I wouldn’t be too certain he’ll last home on it.

Aidan O’Brien suggests So You Think has gotten very lazy in the finish, hence the blinkers. He clearly idled in the Irish Champion and I was floored by how poor he was last race. Since I don’t doubt his stamina this may explain why he was disappointing in the Champion Stakes.

It’s a strange one because he seems keen early in his races but the fast early pace here should suit.

What happened to SYT the over hyped aussie horse? I suppose if he wins America’s biggest race if franks Euro horses as the best. Convenient thogh that it is also the worst BCC ever. If he gets beaten he will be the over hyped aussie horse again…

There’s quite a bit of early speed here though-Game on Dude is the obvious one, and Stay Thirsty and Mo. Expect GOD ( :D ) to be on the lead for at least the first 3/4 mile, then along comes Grace, and the two Belmont Stakes winners will try to pick up the pieces at the end. Drosselmeyer is a nice fit for trifectas and supers.

SYT wasn’t picked by a single US turfwriter, which is telling as they’re usually the first to jump on the Euro bandwagons.

The European horses have rarely sent their GREAT horses over to the Breeders Cup Classic (their Zenyatta and Curlins). So You Think is probably as good as any that have run, Rip Van Winkle is another very very good one but he didn’t show up.
The Europeans are clearly better on turf of course, but these dirt clashes are exciting. I suspect the Europeans have an edge (as they did on synthetics) but they need the right horse for dirt

    I’m a regular Nostradamus.

Drosselmeyer is a nice stayer, I just figured he’d need every inch of 10 furlongs. Grace made her move a bit too late, but Dross has amazing acceleration.

And Ruler on Ice was 3rd. :D
