    Innisfree £30 win @ 33/1 Derby

Could not walk past Fred’s this morning without having a bet on him at that price. Fair play to the winner the other night, but you have to think he was suited by the track and talk of the Kentucky Derby backs that up a bit maybe.
Never known Galileo to sire a decent dirt horse and he himself ran his worst race of his career on it. Saying that, they did fill the places behind the winner so maybe on reflection not as bad a run as first thought.
Still happy enough with Mogul but the second was really sticking on well at the finish and would of thought there should be no difference between them in price at this stage really.

    Siruh De Lac £5 win @ 12/1 Betvictor Gold Cup ( 365 ) Lost – £5

Looking forward greatly to this jump season ahead, looking like the best bunch for many a year. Prices are popping up now for the Welsh National and aside from that, looks like a nice quiet time of it going into the New Year.

Needed to get a couple more Cheltenham ones on board and the early ones are sorted.

    A Plus Tard £15 win @ 20/1 Ryanair ( 365 )

Absolutely jaw dropping performance at last years festival. Would not put anything past him if he improves again.

Presenting Percy £15 win @ 20/1 Gold Cup

Only an 8YO and has had one run over fences outside of novice company where he can’t possibly of been right. Got to give him another chance surely, given the way he slaughtered the field in that RSA the year before.

    Tower Bridge £7.50 @ 8/1 3.25 Lost – £7.50

Thought it was going to be the first Saturday without having a bet in a long time. Can’t understand the price on this one though, thought he would of been favourite.

Great racing again over in Ireland this weekend. Some serious firepower will be heading over the Irish Sea in March that’s for certain. The bookies seem to be going a bit mad this year, slashing horses to daft prices for winning pretty weak races and pushing some out just because they got beat in decent ones.

    Melon £10 win @ 16/1 Arkle ( 365 )

Had a look back at the replay and think he was beaten by the winners jumping more than anything else today.A decent start overall for him really. If he lines up at Cheltenham in a fast run race, you can just see his jockey sat totally motionless with a couple of fences to jump.

    A Plus Tard £10 win @ 25/1 Ryanair ( 365 )

Possibly his best run yet over a trip too short.Handicaps have gone now and not much he can go for apart from this you would hope. Will be very interesting to see if he can carry on improving in his next couple of races.

Got a handful of handicappers to follow for this NH season now and hopefully one or two of them can bag a big race or two. Going to be a right struggle if they don’t win any between them.

Nearly impossible to be know what races they are going for a couple of weeks before the festival, never mind in November. Not a lot you can do about injuries but reckon ” any race ” is the way forward.

Tower Bridge £10 win @ 20/1 Any Race

Young Joseph certainly is learning fast and not many better than him at getting one ready for a big race. A good enough start on Sunday and his hurdles form suggest a step up in trip will be coming at some point over fences. Mildmay or Kim Muir looks the likely targets ATM.

    Apple’s Shakira £10 @ 20/1 Any Race

Seems like she has been on the go for ages, but only a 5YO. Looked destined for the top a couple of years seasons but never quite made it. A couple of runs last year ending up with a decent run in the Coral Cup. Another who starts off a mark of 141 which puts her bang there for Pertemps / Martin Pipe / Coral Cup

Deadly looking at these Cheltenham markets

    Glenloe £10 win @ 50/1 NH Chase ( 365 )
    Glenloe £10 win @ 25/1 Any Race

Just about got over his run at Cheltenham a couple of years back now. Still have the odd nightmare, but far less than before.

Another one who is probably better for any race but not leaving 50/1 on the table. Got an entry over the weekend and should be interesting how he gets campaigned this year. No surprise to see a few runs like Cause of Causes used to get.

Glenloe £10 win @ 66/1 NH chase

Maybe ran a bit too well there in a way.Jumped great and will be interesting to see what mark he gets. If this is on the cards then needs to finish top 4 over 3 miles to qualify.
