    Finished lame at Southwell today & announced this evening that he couldn’t be saved. 3rd fatality of the day, 5 in the last 2 meetings at this track. R.I.P.

    This is dreadful Tonge was hoping he would be saved.
    Is nothing being done to find out why there have so many fatalities at this particular course?

    Also an unusual amount of young horses breaking down badly on courses all round the country during this closed door period. Maybe they are not inspecting or looking after the ground as they would normally through lack of staff.

    Southwell should be shut down while an investigation is held and before we lose any more of our precious racehorses.

    Are they getting more meetings here due to Worcester’s moratorium ?
