He wouldn’t know him as well as Marc does and I bet he takes a bit of knowing. He could easily create a Foinavon type situation! I’m very torn having my favourite horse being ridden by my least favourite jockey and it would be bitter sweet for Marc if he were to win. Sheena is very much a giant slayer and always sneaks in under the radar. I’ve followed her ever since she trained the ill fated Cannon Fodder and adored Ding Ding. I know the chance of him winning or placing is remote but I’ll be cheering on Sheena’s horse and the two Phil Kirby runners!

Ben Pauling is only 10 years into training, but he knows what it
takes to win at the Festival (Willoughby Court, Le Breuil and Global Citizen)
I reckon he’s picked this promising type up from France and has kept him
off the racecourse because, as he has admitted, he thinks he’s well in with
the handicapper and has been kept for this. Rachael Blackmore is as they say,
an eye catching booking. A very real chance I think.

    Farcical!
What a stupid place to start a horse race; right on the bend.

The first race of the festival to be ruined by false starts. Maybe it did not make any difference to the result but I cannot believe it did the favourite any good. It looked like he got very wound up.

Forgot to post in here but put Jazzy matty up in my Dl&P thread

    Jockey is stealing 3lb

Reminds me of davey Russell the way he is just slowly creeping them into the races

Mr Freedom ran a mighty race. Would have been closer but the jockey almost got knocked out of the saddle at a crucial point in the race. I went in again just before the off, too, as I wasn’t sure if I’d backed him first 5.
