Nothing at all today. This has been a horrible month, easily the worst so far. Having said that April had easily been the best so was probably due a backlash.
Biggest worry has been the performance on Betfair this month, far worse than even SP. Still it’s always picked up in the past so it’s just a case of riding the storm hopefully.

I’ve often thought that you should be able to have a bet on your horse coming second rather than winning.
In theory it’s almost as hard as backing winners, especially in handicaps.
Like you, I’ve suffered a frustrating number of seconds recently, and since I won’t bet each-way my betting account has suffered. No doubt if we could bet on seconds they would all win.
I know that’s not how it is in reality, that’s how it seems as one’s perception gets distorted.

May has been easily my worst betting month in at least the last 6 months, really hitting the bank hard. Virtually everything I do (much of which not posted here) has failed, probably to the tune of around 150 pts in less than 3 weeks.
Having said that I’ve checked my account and I’m still up around 75 pts since February so I’m still trying to stay positive, but it is difficult!
Losers I can take, but when you get a persistent run of very close 2nds at decent prices that’s when your head starts to drop. Even today 2 other of my systems picked out Spotlight in the 2.40 and I had my biggest bet of the day on it- was all over the winner right to the last couple of strides. There was a lot of swearing going on I can tell you for several minutes after that!
Anyway, the best that can be said about toda’s BB selections is that at least only one of them reached the requested price on BF.
