I have a lot to to do today.
I will be going myself a hearing
    test (myhearingtest.net)and
have to journey into the Strand.
I shall be wearing ear plugs to
protect what hearing I have on
what looks like a bleak day.

Ricky if it was you who voted
for me as I suspect, I thank you
kindly. Exactly how you view my
    uncomfortable splash reading it this
    morning, I don’t know ?
This obviously leads on to you reaction.
I don’t know if your relationship with
Mr Pilsen can ever be repaired. I would
like to think it could be patched,
have you seen Scrooge in a Christmas
    Carol
In your opening post yesterday you
referred to him as a twat. I believe
he would probably chuck that word
back at you. Anyway a messy business.
You could open your PM and settle
    your differences that way. Despite
his omerta he did offer some conciliatory
    words.

I do suspect Mr Pilsen’s absence may
be down to the fallout in this thread.
He rarely misses Xmas on TRF. The lounge
has fallen into decline. He has done a good
job over the year sparking it up. Davies
referred to him as lord of the lounge,
I would not disagree but would wonder
what in fact there is to lord over.
Chief gardener might be more appropriate.
He has admitted to the clone Tor Mentor,
which I found a very healthy quite
inspired poster and a force for good.

In a PM from him a long time ago, he did
confide in me who he was on the Ultimate
Forum so I know his past identities. This
was not a clone but actually him. Ricky you
said he would not be a match for me, but
I have to admit he is a quick thinker and
couple of times I was in deep sh*t with him.

As far as this voting thing I see Moe is up
there in the lead so the lounge area is doing
rather well. I may not have helped your chances
Ricky and as I have said before you have had
an excellent year all round. As a gesture
I will offer you my vote. I wanted really
to vote for Grimes who lost his wife this
year and has done remarkably well on his posts.
Drone is a previous winner so he would be
    understanding.

    Off to vote

    I take this opportunity
to wish you Ricky and Mr Pilsen
a Happy Xmas and that goes
to everyone else here in the bleak.
It is all small beer. Or is it ?

If I have made a huge error
apologies, just lets say I got an
    attack of the kneez :(

Gamble , yes true in parts , but it was the persistent insults that led to my escalation , any way it was all a silly business for sure

there will be no kiss and make up , the wounds are knee deep ,,but in fairness its true Mr p is a good poster for the lounge , and should come back at some stage to liven it up, with his kissin pal Nathan of course . 8) … lets have some grade A bollocks as per normal

    Hope the ear heals quick

    Happy Christmas dude

Thanks for your good wishes Ricky, however your post was barbed, and bringing in Nathan in that way referring to him as a kissin pal, I can honestly understand why Mr Pilsen has come out all guns firing in the racing section. I have done my best to mediate but it only takes one line or a wrong word to change things. Not the wisest choice of words but cannot be unwritten now. I myself have written enough on all this and will leave it there.

    Drone,
I am suffering from sensineural hearing loss which happened suddenly. Hyperbaric oxygen is a novel treatment which can in some cases revitalize the inner ear. I have found out that I have an added problem in that my ears do not equalize easily as the eustachian tube is easily blocked. I would advise you to put nothing in your ears. Micro suction is the only favourable way of clearing wax as the water method can damage the drum and has the possibility of setting off tinnitus, tinnitus, tinnitus.

An attack of the kneez eh ? Could be a hairy ride.

With regard to the "embarrassing" post you refer to in another reply 16/12/13 00.47. Yes it was selective but IMO didn’t misinterpret anything. There is only so much sychophantic praise I can stomach. Ricky thought it nasty. There was no malice intended and similar "conversations" could and do take place early doors on a Friday night at my regular. There are no hard feelings on my part and I’ve since bought him a pint 28/11/13 13.39.

As for embarrassing, well unfortunately we’ll have to agree to differ on that one. It would seem to me that your good self to an extent and in particular Ricky have cornered the market on that one. At least you have concluded with a lot more respect than Ricky who at the moment is only confirming the view I expressed in my "embarrassing" post.

As good ol Roy Walker used to put it "Say what you see". That’s all I have done. Could be I need spectacles of course

Hope you sort out your hearing problem and I wish you and yours a pleasant Christmas and a peaceful New Year

Apologies for the flippant post old chap, hope you can forgive this unique case of me not understanding one of your posts :)

Aaroniznnez, well done on the poem,
    I have to congratulate you.

I am very happy for anyone to write what
they feel. I did not really mean to extend
the word embarrassing to your old post.
I am just concerned a little with censorship
of posts that are written in a kindly way.
Both you and Ricky criticised something
written in a positive light. If they had
been negative in content then fair enough.
One has to be very careful criticising
    positively intentioned content, not that
it can’t be done or shouldn’t be done,
but it should be done if at all,
    then more sensitively and carefully
than if it had been negative content.
I have no doubt it was an honest opinion
    and truly meant.

Getting back to the escalation that I
    highlighted Ricky’s ‘ trans gender post ‘
there was no abuse from Mr Pilsen before that.
I would ask anyone to go back to Page 6
re-read the comments and tell me where it is.
I took a lot of time reading the thread
last night and stand by my summation
and conclusion. I am certain the trans gender
post was the escalation – so certain I would
    put money on it.

Drone, I had no problem at all with your posting
in fact it made me feel quite light hearted to be
honest. I have to tell you I have been quite
clever. I have seen the same top ear specialist twice
at a London Hospital, with no appointment.
The first time I arrived with a small brown
envelope with cash in which the receptionist pocketed.
The second time I bluffed my way in, dressing well
and saying I had been referred by another dept.
I just said the consultant was expecting me.
This time I had a box of Lindt chocolates on
on my person which I gave directly to the
    consultant on entering his office.

    The science of barotrauma…

If you descend from a high elevation without swallowing, the lower barometric pressure behind your eardrums remains while pressure on the outside of your eardrums increases. This makes for a relative vacuum behind your eardrums, similar to sucking on a straw and having a collapse of the straw’s side wall. If you swallow before the vacuum becomes too great, your collapsed eustachian tubes open and equalize pressure across your eardrums. If you swallow too late, the vacuum keeps your eustachian tube walls collapsed. As your descent continues, the wall-to-wall contact of the tubes gets firmer, the vacuum increases and ear pain happens. Fluid may be sucked out of your middle ear’s membrane lining, which causes bloody plasma fluid to fill space behind your eardrums. This can rupture membrane structures inside your inner ear, according to Loury.

ou need to grow up- your pathetic thread on betfair chit-chat certainly proves that. What absolute bollocks, how empty is your life for you to have done that, are you 12? Behave like a cretin and you’ll get treated like one. This is why I ignore you and your sort.

    Oh, Merry Christmas

Time was you would get banned for a post like this , but sadly no longer , this person can apparently do and say what he likes , he must be exempt

I wont even begin to comment on the content

its a bad day for the forum though , this sets a precedent and a marker , from now on anybody can behave like this with total impunity

Indocine ….very definitely , but for some reason the thread will not die , its a regular epic …..but I blame Gamble , its all his bloomin fault , as for that darn pesky Ian Davies ….he definitely gave us both the run around

strange how guys mellow and you think …is it really him ???

mostly good stuff , but a bit heavy in the end , Dr Gamble , turned super sleuth to deliver denouement …. but nasty patches still unhealed ….

Bayes was a great man , I use his theorem all the time in the maths of poker ….but thats another story

    As life is short possibly
a story that needs to be told
    Ricky.

    There has been an outbreak
of mice in the racing section
with my bad ear I can still
    hear them nibbling

Nathan you are the only one
to raise a laugh in the bleak

As far as the length of this
    thread there is no theorem
Indocine that can stop the dark :|

Its a bleak tale indeed , but its not finished yet , still one piece to be resolved , one small corner to shed some light on

and that is //WHO is Mr Pilsen , and what on earth is he cloning now , who was he on these boards before , and why the mask ??

this has to be found , maybe then we can give peace a chance

We Know who ID is ….he’s the chief

we know who gamble is ……king of wordage and sometimes peacemaker ,,,sometimes feather ruffling

we know who Nathan is …..best kisser on the planet , plus a fairly good egg in anyone’s basket

But Who is the Pilsen clone ????

    Answers need to be found

Gamble , glad you are recovering , hair will grow back no worries

you are right I missed all that intrigue , was too heavily innvolved in the horse board , which in truth is very bare nowadays , nothing grabs you much , all of the double belly buster posters have gone , mind you we still have some quality although very much diluted

I am thankful for the Pilsen story , this means bleak will probably come to a shuddering halt …..

as for the row , I dont think that will ever heal , but no more from me on these boards to make it worse , I will avoid Pilsen like the plague , and hope he does the same

Happy Christmas dear boy , lets hope you manage to enjoy it , I will now go and treat myself to a pint of sheep dip

    I will be watching
    for any false moves 8)

I will remove/edit my long post tonight.
Because I feel a bit uncomfortable with it
giving out so much information about another
player that is active on this board.

I tend to write in patches and the writing
here has held me back on other things and
I really have a big workload to catch up on,
so in all truth I am pleased that the bleak
is disappearing and ending its natural life.

Yes do have a good Xmas, and if you ever
contemplate a long cruise again, buy the
ticket, and send it to me. I never get bored,
and dare say would even enjoy it if confined
to my cabin Mr Ripley style.
