After years of bookmakers forcefully describing racing as a declining aspect of their business every-time negotiations with the Levy come about, I wonder how their profits will be affected after the latest month of bad weather.
It’s going to be quite difficult to, on the one hand claim that racing revenue makes up a small percentage of the operating profits and yet on the other report that profits are down due to the cold snap and next years levy contributions will be even less.
Spin City.

1) The snow and ice in Ireland has severely affected the supply of Irish lottery numbers, We fully expect profit to resume to normality once the, historically robust, number supply chain is reinstated.

Not just the all weather, there are 60 courses & they’re seriously trying to tell us that they can’t afford to hire a JCB to clear the snow or have heated frost covers at even one of them? If Southwell can organise a meeting within a few days notice, then why not other tracks?
