I thought Justanotherbottle was dynamite a fortnight ago, and hoping the headgear, coupled with a good draw sees another big run. No need to bet EW, as if he’s in firing line, I’ll get stake back. Can’t see him making the frame from off the pace here. Think he’s a big player here.

    Justanotherbottle 14’s

The Bullet at Beautiful Bev. Cracking race, and nice to see a decent quality field as the southern powers that be would no doubt love to strip it of Listed status, as they did with the Needler.

I’ll be chancing a bit on Justanotherbottles old sparring partner Tis Marvellous, similar to your lad he looks in good nick and is nicely drawn.

    Tis Marvellous 2 pts e/w 7/1.

I like Tarboosh here. 14-1 ew with 4 Pls looks like a fair bet to me. I was going to have a win only bet as well, but I just can’t split Dakota Gold or Significantly

Justanotherbottle did me a real favour last time however this is a step up , I’ve played Dakota gold , he needs a few runs to get going and I reckon he,ll have been primed for today , e.w ostilio is getting really well handicapped , won off 108 down to 93 today , never won at 5 but he,ll be doing his best work at the end and I can see him nabbing a place

Thanks CAS and VTC. HDLG – The Portland is his race, but I wouldn’t dare leave him unbacked at Ayr should he go.

He might sneak in the Gold at Ayr – going up a pound or two for his Bev listed effort would make it very likely he would. Could be a plot, but he has been subject to some bizarre market moves recently.

Stewards Cup – 66’s Friday night, as low as 11/1 by Saturday morning, back out to an SP – 50’s

And a nice run in the Bullet, coming 4th at 11’s, having being widely available at 50/1 on the Friday night.

That was the best he has looked for Midgely, who looked like he must have chopped a leg off (or wanted a stone off his mark!) upon reciept from Simon and Mr Ed at one point. He has got the stone off now but is a hard one to figure out is Ostilio, right enough.

I think the market moves – the initial ones anyway have been because Rory Delargy keeps tipping him in the big sprint handicaps and it wouldn’t take a lot at those prices overnight to move significantly.

Does he indeed. A Podcast I watch does the same.

    Only just noticed this thread!

    Well done, TTC.

Tis Marvellous broke the track record – can’t remember any horse breaking a minute over that stiff five before – but didn’t see this widely reported.

The form of the race looks sound.

Ostilio must have a cracking chance in the Portland, but it was a daft race to run him in here.

He’s only got fourth place prize money and has potentially ruined his mark – and definitely ruined his price.

He’s finished a head behind a horse rated 16lb higher, while receiving only 3lb off him.

Let’s see how the Handicapper reacts to his run.
