Just back from Down Royal….we were standing by the last when Envoi Allen flicked over it and galloped away…I knew mine was beaten but didn’t care, Envoi Allen is just fab. The racecourse wasn’t packed and only a smattering of people round the winner’s enclosure for most of the races but he got them out of the bar…he got a massive cheer and so much goodwill. Henry de Bromhead is so nice too and took time to shake hands with everyone (including me ) even though he had to go and saddle his next runner. I’m glad he had a good meeting, he always sends a few decent horses up this way.

He’s just so reliable isn’t he , rarely runs a bad race , Yard is flying ( to be fair so is Elliott ) while Mullins is having a quieter spell
