Always like an Antepost on this, a race I really like, and no different this year.
I was quite excited about Thanksforthehelp going into this years Pertemps, but he was well beaten in the end. He got his head in front next time, but main concern for me is his poor run here in the spring. I’m sure he’s better than that, I think he’s still better than his mark, and yard like to target this. Happy to bet him just now.
Definitely like to have two in this so already have a shortlist for the backup……
Carcaci Castle
Ed Keeper
Elvis Mail
Gowel Road
Schalke
Wasdell DundalkThanksforthehelp 20’s
November 1, 2023 at 18:11 #1668757Goshhowposh has only gone up 4lbs for his win at Exeter on handicap debut. That was on good ground, which wasn’t ideal given he’s a thorough stayer. His jumping was sloppy and would need to improve but i could see him going well. I think he’s very well handicapped. 16s.
November 20, 2023 at 13:03 #1671120I’ve had Santos Bluenin mind for this race for some time now. I think that he has a better chance than his 20-1 suggests, and I’ll bet him here once weekend entries are confirmed
November 20, 2023 at 17:32 #1671153Stuzzikini @20s for me, ran a nice race last time winning at Clonmel beating some decent rivals, main concern is this would be its 15th run in the last 12 months. trip and going in his favour and a very consistent sort.
November 21, 2023 at 15:53 #1671382Was going to sit this out after Thanksforthehelp didn’t go, but Schalke doesn’t go to Market Rasen on Thursday now, so another risky Antepost stab at this
Schalke 40’s EW
November 21, 2023 at 20:59 #1671409You timed that well Bobby!
33s now best, a fair few shorter than that.
I had looked at the race + he was one i was shortlisting along with….Lord Snootie, Dubrovnik Harry + Carbon King.
Decided that even though going off 11/2 vs now stayers prospect Buddy One LTO at Galway i don’t think Lord Snootie was going that well when he made the error so 14s wasn’t THAT appealing, and now shorter.
Harry + Carbon King are still potential bets options but i’ve taken 33s on Schalke too.
Schalke looks like 3m and Haydock soft will be his bag anyway.
Menzies is also decent to follow with handicapper hurdlers- 353 runners 49 winners 82 placed + as this is 4places that even extends to 123 placed!Twitter: Jackh1092
Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 22, 2023 at 09:48 #1671430I’ve taken the 20-1 on Santos Blue
November 24, 2023 at 09:34 #1671558I’ll be playing pyramid place in a couple of each way doubles and small stakes single.
Always seems to be overlooked in decent races when his form is amongst the best on offer. Won the silver trophy virtually hard held penultimate start.
Currently 40/1.
November 24, 2023 at 19:58 #1671601I’ve thrown a dart at Santos Blue ew 5 places
November 24, 2023 at 21:24 #1671612Have been sucked in by the connections of CRAMBO who believe he will be a serious grade 1 horse this year. The owner stated that he’s put plenty on him for the Stayers at Cheltenham in March.
Couldn’t resist putting a little bit on.The intriguing runner for me is HOWLINGMADMURDOCK (took 20/1 6 places) who was 5th in the Sefton grade 1 at Aintree back in April. The top 6 were the only ones who made any sort of impression that day and 3 of those have won nicely over fences on re-appearance with the other 3 yet to race (Apple Away runs on same card, am sweet on her)
November 24, 2023 at 21:32 #1671613I’m on Dunrovkik Harry , nice weight and caught the last time at Cheltenham
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
November 24, 2023 at 22:56 #1671622Slate Lane drifted out to 5/1 and I think that is interesting. He could easily be a 140s horse.
Slate Lane 5/1
November 24, 2023 at 23:37 #1671631Emitom 16s, win only
Carbon King e/w 66sBest of luck to all
November 25, 2023 at 00:48 #1671636Jack, the bet not looking so clever now, but after considering Santos Blue and Wakool, I’ll just stick with Schalke and hope the markets wrong. Looking ominous right now though
November 25, 2023 at 01:04 #1671638Thought there were 4 or 5 interesting bigger priced horses
Came down on
Gowel Road
Emitom
And Santos blueLooks a tricky race
Hopefully the emmet mullins/Paul Byrne horse loses
Really don’t like that trainer or owner, scammers the pair of them
November 25, 2023 at 10:23 #1671675Goshhowposh solely on the name but not without a chance at the bottom.
The more I know the less I understand.
November 25, 2023 at 13:29 #1671716My orig e/w Carbon King a NR so switched to Skelton’s
Sholokjack 20s win only
Was 40s much earlier, so i’ve taken a punt.
