thank’s for the warning, but i alway’s wear my body armour
January 11, 2005 at 12:52 #94582I would like to applaud both Ian and Barry for expressing their views honestly. As a novice to exchanges, at least I am informed no matter what I think of the practices that go on.
January 11, 2005 at 13:00 #94583Man Friday… " We’re not alone are we Rob ?"
Rob Crusoe… " What you mean you’ve spotted the creature above us ? Good spot ! "
Man Fiday… " Please put your bible down Rob and explain to me why it appears to have two heads ? "
Rob Crusoe… " Well there’s not much in the telling man, it’s very rare and it’s called a DumDee and it lives in a tree and… shhhh, just ya listen now, it’s started a converstion above us "
Dee…" I have been tweedelin this one for over an hour Dum and I still can’t get it."
Dum… " Speak your mind Dee "
Dee… " I don’t like tripping over to the new Dot market on Treasure island Dum. I get so frightened by the sharks, I think they’ll eat me, so why do you force me to go there every fruitpickin day ?"
Dum… " I have to take you Dee it’s on my agenda and you’re part of me. Now stop your worrying about the sharks Dee, haven’t you seen the size of we ? and anyway I am forced to use Dot Dee, that’s where I get the jam you like with your tea."
Dee… " That’s tweedlin easy, I see "
Well the markets are traditionally bad in Jan after the crusoe period, and people are risk averse and simply looking after their own little bottle parks whilst hoping to net a long toothed later in the year

Maybe the editor of the RP should cut and paste a few thread’s
January 11, 2005 at 13:21 #94590No probs Ian, as ever you put your view across well. :)

ACR1,You appear to have a persistent petty axe to grind with me which precludes us having constructive discussions with one another, so believe or disbelieve me at your leisure, it’s all the same to me.
No axe here, Ian but I didn’t realise you were into constructive discussion – I thought it was just long-winded, righteous bluster that interested you.
BTW, making snide comments about Barry Denis getting free publicity from TRF is hilarious coming from you. No one gets more free airtime on here to promote their business than yourself. I suppose the difference is you need it, he doesn’t.
January 11, 2005 at 23:31 #94594Strange, how you can start off talking about the demise of liquidity, in the early markets, to losers moaning about gamesmanship, to someone having a go at Davies, again.
January 11, 2005 at 23:33 #94595BTW Ian, great weekend, managed to get about £700 worth of bets matched over the weekend at your gaff.
January 12, 2005 at 14:35 #94598More sanctimonious rubbish Ian- the betting market is a jungle, anyone trying to make a profit has to be clued-up and both be aware of and accept the risks of betting with less information than those on the spot. I don’t think Barry’s image will suffer one bit because he admits he is profiting from a loophole in the way people trade in ignorance. Caveat emptor, or bettor in this case.
As for saying that he’s betting when the other person can’t win- of course they can, Dave Smith could be wrong, the horse could remount and win, the close finish could change again in the last 50 yards.
January 13, 2005 at 08:54 #94599.. The slow shutter speed of the brownie
.. racecourses paved with gold
.. exchanges warn in bold
.. a blue world
flatcapgamble…pieces of eight shades of grey
