We’ll see. I think suggesting he will "jizz" on The Fly is perhaps stretching things somewhat.
February 10, 2013 at 21:24 #429187true. I probably got a bit carried away yesterday, wouldn’t be the first time that’s happened.
then again if the occasional performance don’t excite you, you’re in the wrong game I guess. and my first gut-feeling was "monster" and I hadn’t had that feeling since the 2007 hennessy.
February 11, 2013 at 12:48 #429245Surely The Fly is a cut above the current crop. 14 Grade 1’s and counting hardly indicates the top boys are much of a muchness?
Last years Champion has left a question mark right enough. I think a win that day would have seen him currently being talked about as one of the best of all time, as opposed to being talked about as getting "jizzed on" by a horse winning a handicap off 149.
He can perhaps put that right in March.
February 11, 2013 at 16:02 #429271most of his grade ones have come in weakish affairs in ireland with not many runners.
although as you he has a chance to join the greats soon.
February 11, 2013 at 16:03 #429273*as you say
February 11, 2013 at 17:18 #429279Although they blamed the ground when it got beat by Chatterbox, it certainly didn’t affect his performance on Saturday. With that in mind, how good is Chatterbox?

Most grade 1s are small runner events..ie 5 to 7 runners. Also, he has been trashing pretty good horses. Thousand Stars best form aint too far off the likes of Oscar WHisky for example
However ground is an issue I think and the reason why I believe he wont win the Champion hurdle this year.

February 13, 2013 at 15:44 #429513Impressive run from that McManus horse with the ridiculous name.
Didn’t the Henderson/Mcmanus team also say that Binocular would definitely miss the Champion Hurdle before it went on to win that very race.

Anyhow, my opinion is that My Tent Or Yours, good as he is, would not trouble Hurricane Fly at this stage.
Let’s see if he can win the Supreme Hurdle first. He’ll take all the beating, but it is Cheltenham remember.

Impressive but I like to back horses that have come through a good scrap and I have severe doubts about that horse getting up the cheltenham hill.

March 11, 2013 at 21:03 #432083I feel it worth noting that following claims the winner would "jizz" on the Grade 1 winning machine The Fly, ElgranSenor now feels MTOY is a softie who will fail miserably in the Supreme.
