Altior 11/4 for me. Maybe a bit naive, but I’ve always backed him and I think just like Sprinter Sacre this will be his last race. He hasn’t been bigger then evens for five years, so there could be some value. No excuses with the ground this time. Hopefully one final great perfomance.

Sceau Royal for me DBR, think this a great opportunity for him. Hovered over the 6’s at the start of the week, but waited too long.

Took 9-2 in the end, and happy enough with that. Think this is a decent opportunity for him, though I do love Put The Kettle On. Just got to hope that Sandown isn’t for her, but she is very good.

Altior looked very slow when beaten by nube negra, especially at his fences which he can’t do at sandown

Putthekettleon has been at her best at Cheltenham

Sceau Royal has had a great season and was very unlucky at Cheltenham when badly hampered, gets his ground and hoping for a big run.

Henderson will have Altior spot on for his final run , happy to take kettle on away from Cheltenham and sceau royal has had a long season and has been beaten here plenty times to , e.w Dolos loves sandown and looks value e.w

Racing Post reckon Altior getting stuffed at Kempton was a better RPR then anything from the Champion Chase. Utter nonsense for me, if he runs like that again he won’t be winning.

Good looking close race and I can’t really see an angle so I’ll be happily watching.

I agree but was that a great champion chase , to many horse finishing in a bunch Inc a hampered sceau royal who lets face it has been beaten plenty times in these
races

Probably not the best I agree – but I can’t have the protagonists were performing worse than Altior getting hammered at Kempton. He was beat half a mile out.

I agree mate, I’m not doubting his chances today, but I just object to the RPR’s viewpoint that a repeat of his Kempton effort would see him winning this.
