    And to top it all Best Of Company was killed in the bumper at Hexham – a four year old filly in her first ever race.

    That is very sad. I had a few quid on her EW and saw the jockey just easing her with about three quarters of a mile to travel. The horse seemed in no trouble. Malcolm Tomlinson just mentioned her unseating the jockey with half a mile to go.
