This is my list of top British flat race horses in order of merit over 10 furlongs
1.Dubai Millenium-
His 200 Dubai world cup win was like a seeing a racing car.I would not envisage even Sea Bird Beating him on that day.2.Frankel-His class would have enabled him to stave of even Mill Reef or Sea Bird upto 10 furlongs.
3.Sea The Stars-Gave some of the best performances ever seen in the Irish Champion stakes and Judamonte International .
4.Dancing Brave-His exceptional speed may just have given him the edge over Mill Reef or Nijinsky.
5.Brigadier Gerard-His class would have enabled him to prevail over other greats.
5.Sir Ivor-10 furlongs was his best distance and his devastating acceleration may have helped him nose out Mill Reef or Nijinsky.
6.Mill Reef-His 1971 Eclipse win over Caro was one of flat racing’s best ever performances.
7.El Gran Senor-A sensation upto 10 furlongs.
8.Nashwan-An all time champion over 10 furlongs which he proved in the 1989 Eclipse Stakes .
9.Busted-A true racing great.
10.Royal Palace-A class act over 10 furlongs.

February 2, 2013 at 19:21 #428278To be pedantic: Dubai Millenium was trained by a Dubaian in Dubai at the time of his World Cup win in Dubai; although the horse himself has a GB suffix. But may be we should treat the question as a rough guide.

February 2, 2013 at 20:56 #428294Brigadier Gerard for me.
Dubai Millenium was very good but interestingly enough, Frankie thinks Frankel would have beaten him.
