    10:48 tomorrow at Belmont

Race won last year by call to mind in the queen’s colours

Wouldn’t normally be my sort of race but am quite keen on one here

It is the formally trained by John gosden Raa atoll who upped to 2 miles for the first time a few weeks ago got the better of Thomas hobson in hoppegarten

He was only beaten a couple of lengths into 4th behind old Persian over 1m4f so has plenty of class and is very unexposed over staying trips

There is some 8/1 out there atm which I think is a cracking e/w punt as long as 8 or more hold their ground

Amade the second in the all weather championships and mootasadir are other interesting runners

Very much agree Raa Atoll was my choice in the race, I’ve chucked him in a small acca with Chalon, Homerique and Catalina Cruiser on the same card…also have a few for tomorrows big races at Belmont…

Just A Game stakes – Rushing Fall – The class horse in the race and I cant see much beating her in what looks a fairly weak race

Jaipur Invitational – World of Trouble – Has been the outstanding American sprinter thus far in 2019 and he’ll take some stopping, however there is a question mark over him on firmer ground. He’s still the one to beat on recent form. Dirty may be an e/w play

Acorn Stakes – Guarana – She’s only just won a maiden, but Chad Brown has to see something in her to be jumping from that to a grade 1, and she was ultra impressive in breaking her maiden. Serengeti Empress is an on/off horse and seems better suited from the front and it depends on how well the jockey can get her going.

Woody Stpehens – Complexity – Disappointed in the BC last year fading out tamely (one of those funny Ortiz brothers rides) but he’s coming off a long lay off straight back into this company so he must be doing well enough at home, I’m happy to chance him at around 4/1

Met Mile – Mitole – He’s stretching out a mile for the first time but he didnt look like stopping when winning over 7f beating Promises Fulfilled last time. McKinzie looked very good winning back at a mile last time and it seems thats his trip, I think this is between the first 2 although Coal Front could go well after his Meydan exploits and Thunder Snow always warrants respect.

Belmont – War Of Will – War Of Will stretches out a mile and a half for the first time but he’s looked very good in his first two triple crown races, its hard to know how he’d of fared in the Kentucky Derby but his win in the Preakness was no fluke. Its a case of whether it will come too soon and Tacitus has had a longer break so is the one to beat, I just think War Of Will can give him a good run for his money. Tax will also run a lot better here I think and rates an e/w play

Jockey gave raa atoll every chance sitting just off the pace

Horse just folded completely in the last few furlongs

Didn’t run anything like his previous run unfortunately

Let the acca down but still made a bit off of Catalina Cruiser and Homerique on singles. The french import looks an absolute beast going forward for Chad Brown, keep an eye out for her in future. On to tomorrows races then.

Carbon copy ride of the BC on Complexity from guess who…Jose Ortiz. Bolts up on Guarana half an hour earlier and then eases down after a barely hands and heels attempt at closing. Other than that it’s been a fair sweep so far, Mitole was in my acca with Complexity so him beating McKinzie has ruined my other accas, couldn’t write it. Need Tacitus to bring it home now.
