Suspect the ground, trip and fences will all really suit Achille and Snow Leopardess and I’ve backed both accordingly. I think they’re both pretty good each-way bets to nothing as so many of these arrive either woefully out of form or miles out of the weights, with Sky Bet paying 7 places its hard to see them not being involved as they are both good jumpers. Looking at the way Mac Tottie went through the Sefton on very different ground, although he enjoyed the fences I’m not convinced he wants this stiff a stamina test. Vieux Lion Rouge is the obvious other one but can he concede weight to the two I’ve backed at his age? I’m not so sure.

Interesting that 9 of the last 10 renewals have been won by horses with previous experience of the fences

Chris’s Dream at 10-1 is my second choice here after my earlier bet on Mac Tottie

Really like Lord Du Mesnil today in this. It’s attritional ground and we know he will stay and can handle the soft. 28/1 is a huge price.

Have also had smaller bets on Ravenhill at 33s and Chris’s Dream at 15/2.

    Good luck all

Jesus h that’s twice in a week I’ve been done on the line , great run by both but from a GN point of view ID worry about both getting home

Great run by Hill Sixteen. Mark Sandy Thomson down to train a Grand National winner in coming years. He’s got a whole host of decent staying chasers.

Well Chris dream sums up my luck atm

Looked absolutely booked to fill the places and was creeping nicely into it from a potential win perspective

Not entirely sure what happened, guess the horse mustve jinked left so jonjo came off

    Wd winners :good:

That finish cost me a few years of my life! Bobby my heart bleeds for you at that price, but I’d have been pig sick if she got caught! She was ultra tough today. Owner needs convincing that the National is worth a go with the 40 runners being a worry, however based on Coleman’s comments about her getting lonely in front; all those runners could be a positive!

I’m afraid to say Jonjo Jr’s unseat from Chris’s Dream is the softest I think I have ever seen. It was like he forgot it was the Canal Turn! He was still going very easily despite a shuddering mistake at The Chair. Definitely one for April.

Unfortunately I feel today was the day for Chris dream

He was fresh, he had his soft ground, didnt look the strongest race on paper

He should run well in April I just dont think he has enough in hand off his mark, something will have 10lbs in hand (hopefully escaria ten or next destination)
