Vieux Lion Rouge 16-1, and Aso 25-1 for me, both for the win

My top rated is CALIPSO COLLONGES (33/1 in places). Off the track since December last year so fitness would be a question mark, but that was a decent effort behind Lord Du Mesnil and form that would put him right in the picture even from a few pounds out of the weights.

Second choice is GIVE ME A COPPER (12/1 available in a number of places), lightly raced for a ten year old but with a decent overall record and the type that goes well off a rest.

As always with Aintree races over the National fences it’s a leap of faith as to whether newcomers adjust to the fences, albeit less formidable these days. However, there is plenty of wriggle room at these prices.

Le Breuil seems to have plenty of money behind him , I’ve mentioned plenty times before that I think he’s def a national type so I’m on even though he can miss a fence or 2 , Aso is a huge price for a yard hitting form , he may not be the force of old but he doesn’t need to be in hcaps , I’ll def a tickle on him to

I’d be very pleased to see Walk In The Mill win this for a third time, however any value that was once available is all gone, so I’m going to have a go on three (shamefully) at bigger prices.

Jett could well be running solely for experience points with a view to April, but I can’t get away from his rider having the best record over these fences and he’s the one true class horse in the race.

Aso hasn’t always convinced with his stamina, but I’m convinced he does see out 3 miles and 20/1 is a big price.

I can’t ignore Vieux Lion Rouge off his current mark with track, trip and going all in his favour. I’ve missed all the big prices, but he’s still a very fair price.

I’ll go ew with Aso and win on the other two.

It looks a difficult race but I will cheer on Kimberlite Candy.

I’ve picked Smooth Stepper at 25s ew 5pl which is a decent offer. Stays and goes on soft, likely well enough schooled :good:

VLR certainly knows his way around Aintree!

Surprised there were so many fallers and hope they are OK. Did not see Walk in the Mill’s fall coming.

Happy enough with my small each way on Kimberlite Candy but just wonder if he is too high in the weights now.
