Not too long ago I started Virtue Signalling Celebs here which sparked a quite lively debate while not wishing to be controversial I feel this may also divide opinion.
Who would you like to see get the push from their ‘cushy’ beeb job?
Perhaps not surprising to people who read the earlier thread Gary Lineker is someone I’m quite happy to see go but also Chris Packham over his calls for people to join Extinction Rebellion.
I look forward to seeing who others would like to see go?
    good luck to all

Whoever presents the crappy celeb shows such as Strictly etc. as I wish to see these shows go, so obviously the presenters and others involved in these shows can go.

As I sometimes watch Springwatch etc. and Packham shows his passion for wildlife I wouldn’t mind him staying.

The redundancy letters were yet another example of the media making a mountain out a molehill. At this stage there’s no guarantee that anyone applying would even be accepted.

I wouldn’t miss any of the on air personalities if they were given the boot but equally I don’t care if they all stay.

Any high profile BBC employee is already on a hefty salary, would get a decent redundancy payoff (plus good pension if old enough) and then they’d walk into a job elsewhere.

Really the question is ‘who at the BBC don’t you like?’

I would like to see these groups removed:

1: Continuity announcers who as soon as one programme finishes implore me to watch all the other episodes in that series (or sometimes a completely different series) on line as if I’m incapable of either waiting until the next scheduled episode is broadcast or god forbid might have something better to do.

2: Local weather people who insist on telling me about “your weather” – it’s not my weather I don’t own it, it’s just “the” weather. This also applies on the radio to travel and sports bulletins.

3: Anyone who has come to prominence in a “docusoap/reality show” performing any role outside of that genre.

Bring back Kate Adie – there have been far too many wars since she left.
