Barry Geraghty at Kelso

I see Barry is down for one ride at Kelso tomorrow in the first for John Ferguson when Nicky Henderson as a horse in the same race ridden by Andrew Tinkler.
Does anybody else find that rather odd.

Not that unusual, maybe whoever owns the Henderson horse is friends with Tinkler?

I noticed that too No Idea and find its a very strange move, of course the connections might have insisted on having Tinkler ride but if it were my horse I’d choose Barry any day.

Horse has won twice with Andrew Tinkler on board so maybe he just gets on well with the horse?

I see O’Regan and Ferguson have split that is probably why Geraghty rode Ruacana but still a little odd

Nicky Henderson confirmed in a course interview that Andrew Tinkler took the ride because he gets on well with Master Of The Game. The gelding isn’t the easiest ride and Tinkler did well on him today against a decent opponent in Runswick Royal. This could turn out to have been a decent novice contest.
