On the contrary, no idea. I think you are being a little blinkered here.
Oscar Whisky was beaten in a sprint by Taquin De Seuil, a horse who is now stepping up in trip after being outpaced on his most recent start. Hard to argue that Oscar Whisky is probably a shadow of his former self.
Likewise Grandouet, who has seemingly abandoned Champion Hurdle aspirations and couldn’t even beat Hinterland in two tries at Sandown. Hinterland looks improved this year, but you’d be surprised if he was up to Arkle level in even a mediocre year.
Barry G is riding stronger and more intelligently than ever. He is no miracle worker though – he can’t give jaded horses an elixir of youth! His rides on Riverside Theatre, Une Artiste and Triolo D’Alene were beautiful.

You can virtually guarantee either a horse will pull too hard and/or make a blunder virtually everytime AP rides.
In a straight choice I would take Geraghty any day of the week. Yesterday, he got beat a couple of times by Richard Johnson who unlike AP is actually riding as well as he has ever done.
All those titles and he still can’t see a stride. Even by his standards that was shockingly bad.

If you’re talking about AP on At Fishers Cross today Stilvi…
Judging any jockey by AFC making mistakes is harsh. A "long one" was probably "on", as much as a "short one". It’s just what AFC does with whichever jockey is on board.

I was originally replying to the idea that the horse would jump better for AP than Geraghty. I think that question was comprehensively answered today.
What AP did at the last would have been reckless even on a decent jumper.
The second paragraph was a general comment.
