No Antepost for me yet, but the obvious one for me at a price was Roi De France. He’s got The Cambridgeshire to deal with first potentially, but he’s just a horse I really like the look of, and I think he’s got a future outwith Handicaps. Shortlist

Sir Busker and Holloway Boy are last time winners, and a pair I really like, while Empirestateofmind is another I like. He’s harder, a lot harder, to justify though.

Just behind Roi De France for me is Star of Orion, but he’ll probably take in The Challenge Cup first (give him a big chance in that), while I also like the O’Meara pair, Benettot, and Padishakh

    No bet for now

I think everyman and his dog see the run of another O’Meara entry (as the above is) Akkadian Thunder but doubt he will get in

Pleased that Padishakh has made it so far. I’ll top him up to seven places.

Managed mainly so far this season to avoid three in a race, but I’ll make an exception here. Padishakh definitely the main selection, but I’ll have backup win bet on Star of Orion

    Bopedro 12/1 EW

He has been running well without winning lately, 2nd in his group (centre) in the Cambridgeshire at Newmarket and he seems to fit all the criteria to go close in this.
He has the beating of a lot of these and hoping it’s his turn on Saturday.

With another top jockey booked and David Menusier in brilliant form would be unwise not to throw a little at…

Added Cicero’s Gift 20s, boosted to 25s (365). Will relish the soft ground.

Mr Professor, seems a long while ago he won the Lincoln on soft going. Has had a break and will have the ground again.

State Actor (13-2) for me in. I think a low draw is the place to be and he’ll love the ground.
