March 13, 2024 at 13:53 #1685349Monster machine – what do they do next year…….Champion Hurdle????
March 13, 2024 at 13:53 #1685350Just a moment till I pick my jaw off the floor.
Well done Bobby and everyone else on
SuperstarMarch 13, 2024 at 13:54 #16853532025 champion hurdle vs CH … both going unbeaten …
March 13, 2024 at 13:55 #1685354That was a good watch, especially with him winning by so far.
Well done to all who were on at big prices.
March 13, 2024 at 13:57 #1685355Oh it’s quite sweet when one of the winning owners is practically keeling over with emotion and gratitude to win at Cheltenham.
March 13, 2024 at 13:57 #1685356Ronnie Bartlett has previously stated that he was bought to be a Gold Cup horse.
I very much doubt he’ll be taking on Constitution Hill next year, especially as Willie already has State Man and Lossiemouth.
March 13, 2024 at 13:58 #1685358Well done Venture, that’s an incredible early spot that one. That was fantastic + sky is the limit with this horse now
March 13, 2024 at 13:59 #1685359They way he travelled you think a drop back to 2m will be no problem and lets not winners of this race do go on to win Champion Hurdles (Istabraq, Hardy Eustace & Faugheen).
Does make you wonder how he got beat 1st time out though.
March 13, 2024 at 13:59 #1685361Mullins trains all his horses for speed, that’s what he and his team focus on. He doesnt use an uphill gallops training regime, unlike the Brit-based trainers, who seem to still think you need uphill gallops to build stamina. Another example of how British National Hunt is stuck in the past.
March 13, 2024 at 14:01 #1685363wd winners
March 13, 2024 at 14:02 #1685365The Champion hurdle needs a high class competitive renewal , there’s no reason he can’t go to the CH , let’s face Mullins knows State Man can’t beat a prime CH
March 13, 2024 at 14:02 #1685366I think they just use what they have Wilts, I’m pretty sure I read that in Henrietta Knight’s book. Mullins started using deep sand because he didn’t have a hill.
March 13, 2024 at 14:03 #1685367Fantastic performance, and as exciting a horse as we have seen in recent years.
The likes of Hislop and Blake were still casting doubt even today. Just made themselves look even more foolish.
The logical step is 2m4f+ and fences next season.
Crazy to suggest Champion Hurdle.
March 13, 2024 at 14:03 #1685368Mullins also has deep sand area that also builds stamina as well
March 13, 2024 at 14:05 #1685372Turners or Brown Advisory next year
