Yeah, but he doesnt phaf about with having to train on uphill gallops, his prime focus is speed, no matter what distance the horses are likely to run in.
March 13, 2024 at 14:07 #1685374Correct with the Turners the probable favourite.
Some people seem obsessed with speed. They will want him to be a Gold Cup horse. That should be obvious to anyone.
March 13, 2024 at 14:12 #1685381If he was mine it would be Turners next year and Gold Cup the year after. By that time Galopin Des Champs will almost certainly be past his peak so Mullins will want a Gold Cup horse for 2026.
I don’t see the point of wasting a year over hurdles with him, like they have with last year’s winner. They have two viable contenders for the Champion Hurdle. Who knows what form Constitution Hill will be in next year?
March 13, 2024 at 14:16 #1685384What form will State Man be in …

March 13, 2024 at 14:17 #1685385Remember the board game “guess who”
Mullins has started a new version of “Guess Where” staring Ballyburn and Gaelic Warrior
Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
March 13, 2024 at 14:19 #1685387First 5 home trained by Mullins with Pauling’s “impressive” Huntingdon winner out on his feet when clambering over the last a distance behind.
March 13, 2024 at 14:19 #1685388It’s both sad and funny , I respect Mullins greatly but im getting to the point I want to see one of his shorties turned over …

Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
March 13, 2024 at 14:42 #1685408That makes two of us.
It’s up to good old Edwardstone to stop the Mullins machine now, but the ground’s not in his favour.
March 13, 2024 at 22:45 #1685633My initial thought, based on the ultimate goal and the likely targets if Mullins’ other hurdlers, is that Ballyburn might finish running in next season’s Brown Advisory
Several other Arkle / Turners candidates, a couple in the Albert Bartlett who could be Brown Advisory / National Hunt Chase horses next season…
March 14, 2024 at 03:45 #1685683Thanks Buckers and Grass, enjoyed that a lot.
