3 winners from 47 runners in the past 14 days. They’ve won a Maiden, a Handicap and a G3. They didn’t get even close to the winners’ enclosure at Newmarket and their US raiders seem to run out of steam pretty quickly. They were pretty impressive in the spring (especially France), but it seems to me that Godolphin are the ones running the show at the moment.

Looking at their (Ballydoyle) past five years in IRE: won about 29.5 million Euros in prize money, but only 3.5 this season.

Maybe Jim Bolger was right after all, besides the anticipated loss of domination.

The bolger stuff is becoming irritating. Put up or shut up. Stable out of form. It happens. Also very few top galileos this season. They can’t win all the time. Funny how nobody querying Appleby winning a stack of races after a quietish few years. Or are the magic carrots only in Ireland. Maybe ballydoyle has had a bug for a while. Loads of 2yos not run. We shall see if it is a one off next season. I can see John magnier buying a few horses from the USA and Australia.

    AOB is certainly struggling, Ruby.

On horse form Snowfall was a 1\3 chance.
On trainer form odds-on was easy to ignore.

They’ve had a mare of a year , Gosden hasn’t had a great one either , Appleby maybe top of the championship but in my eyes no one has done better than Balding , middleweight been knocking down heavyweights all season , if a man every deserves a proper star of a horse it’s him

Empress Josephine trailed in last when favourite at Keeneland last night. Might be worth upgrading Glounthaune on the basis of stable form, albeit it doesn’t look like he beat much.

Joseph and Donnacha’s horses seem to be running OK. I wonder if some key members of staff moved to their yards.

I think that it will be good for racing if we have a changing of the order of things , even if it is only temporary.
They have had a poor year , but I think that it is far too early to be writing them off.
I agree with all the comments about Balding who I think does a great job with the ammunition that he is provided with.
