I saw the race and couldn’t believe that Paul O’Brien let him jump that hurdle while he was struggling on three legs. His back/pelvis was clearly damaged and the horse almost came to a stop, but O’Brien still asked him to jump the hurdle. Maybe he just couldn’t pull up in time.
The horse broke down a little way from hurdle but jockey was in push mode , i think time he realised injury , then checking for space to pull up the hurdle was staring him in face then its risk piling into hurdle , and horse sommersaulting onto him or pop over . Almost like traffic light going amber and the can i stop or shall i go quick decision .
