STD is has more than he can chew down at Ditcheat, along with everyone else.
December 14, 2015 at 20:26 #1225924He as now said that he needs to do more with his style and lower leg. Those who can ride will probably understand that better.
In fairness it takes a man to admit he’s made a mistake and I say fair dues to him and I hope he sorts it out as he I think he as got a lot of potential.December 14, 2015 at 21:15 #1225925T Biddlecombe, who was known for riding short in his own heyday, criticised most modern jocks for riding too short.
Those who remember Andy Turnell must marvel at how he stayed aboard in the likes of the National – long before the fences were altered. For those who don’t recall A Turnell, he rode as short as some Flat jocks
December 15, 2015 at 14:52 #1225986What will happen now is to STD what is known as”paralysis by analysis” STD will overthink the whole thing and lose his confidence, he’ll think before he reacts and the whole thing will start to implode.
December 15, 2015 at 15:14 #1225987I hope that doesn’t happen, Obi. But, as you said earlier, his exaggerated kicking action – arguably his hallmark – has not served him well from a balance viewpoint. Watching him, I sometimes thought he must get friction burns.
Cutting that action down, slowing it, not raising his heels so high…all those things he’ll be looking at, and you might well be right; it’s like trying to fix aspects of a golf swing and he might end up driving himself crazy.
December 16, 2015 at 00:17 #1226027To be honest i think his apology was to the owner of the horse! Who probably had a fair wack on it!
January 30, 2016 at 21:56 #1231359Maybe it was me but surely it showed his poor judgement and inexperience that got Clan Des Obeaux beat today. Had he kicked on and gone for home after the second last he would have won but he sat and waited which cost him the race. Like him or not and i am still out but I cannot see him at Nicholls next season riding like that.
January 30, 2016 at 23:15 #1231374Having a couple of shares in Moabit on Friday at Doncaster.
https://theracingforum.co.uk/wp-content/plugins/wp-monalisa/icons/wpml_scratch.gifI was most perplex on the riding of it and 16 other horses there riders where given
a lesson in race riding by a 3lb claimer.
The winner won by 19 lengths and no sign of the so-called guardians of racing
the so called STEWARDS did nothing about it.
They should have held a Inquiery into there riding in the race and a BAN
but no they did noting what so ever,
Heads in the sand like the Ostrich’s they are like Dodo’s.
Let us have professional stewards ie. Ex jockeys or trainers not jobs for the rich fools they have now.
The brain dead that infest the Steward rooms nowdays?

Thought yours looked fit enough to do himself justice and forward enough to really benefit his allowance, but just ran into a decent one Friday.
January 31, 2016 at 15:04 #1231454My question is the distances between the first and second and the rest was 19 lengths surely the question is the rest of the field there riders never put them in the race at all. But nothing was heard from the powers that be?
