I’m going to back avonlini 510 Ripon then lay it all off.
What price? I think this horse will be in the lead and in command 2 out so maybe looking like a winner.I will lay it off at 2-1 and see what happens.Im going to look for more as the weeks progress as a way of keeping interest waiting for good bets.
Yesterday I backed mr wolf at 14-1 and 7/2 win and place and got a little greedy laying it at evs and 1.1 and yes it went to 6/4 ish and 1.5 ish. so lost my stake but thats the beauty of back to lay "not losing much"
July 18, 2010 at 12:21 #307093nearly worked.backed at 10-1 layed at 2-1 lead as expected but for nowhere near as long.Ill get the next one.
August 6, 2010 at 14:49 #311319Hi,
How do you decide what to sell out at ? is it a finger in the air ? or do you have some kind of formula that calculates it ?

August 6, 2010 at 15:05 #311322I try and map the race from start to finish and only pick races where the front runner is going to last. Then sell but you really have no way or calculating something that will change. There might be a good one later.I want to see the going at mussleburgh first.
August 6, 2010 at 20:23 #311377That example I didn’t do it but here it is anyway. What makes it worse it was a winner came 4th.
20.10 Ballarina back it evs for the place lay it 1.1.
sure enough it was taken at 1.04 and I missed it.
Ballarina was always going to lead and like last time fade. The horse is too keen and the going is slower today.Horses like this are always backed when clear then they fall in a hole .19-1 for the money. The interesting part is you wouldn’t of made much on the win 7-1 into 3-1 in running but the place is a different story.
August 20, 2010 at 17:42 #313860645 wolves Not My Choice back it at 40s set the lay to 7s for in running then hold y breath !!
August 20, 2010 at 18:38 #313881bit optimistic.Did lead but took too much to get there.Never looked like trading at single figures.Passes the time though!!
