Its raining here now , if the rain continues id advise going for the higher drawn horses , I’m getting more and more confident Ostilio is going to run a big race , no weight and Midgley had 2 winners yesterday , plenty money about for him to

I’ve not done too many big Antepost Bets this season, but Chiefofchiefs was a bigger one, and disappointed that he misses out. I’d like that one back. I’ve jumped on to Mr Lupton now, and hopeful that he can make the seven.

Mr Lupton 50’s EW 7 Places
Snazzy Jazzy EW 7, 33’s EW 5 Places

I think Popmaster would probably be the one for me albeit I’d have liked a slightly bigger price than he is, mainly because I’m a bit concerned the blinkers might light him up a bit first time round otherwise he’d be a stronger selection. His winning form is pretty good, he’s 2lbs well in, can easily see him being a group horse and I prefer his draw more in the middle to the extreme low for the two ahead of him in the market.

A horse I’ve backed a couple of times this season is Pendleton and he’d be a more speculative selection at a bigger price. I think he’s got a plum draw between Mr Wagyu and Just Frank who will both go forward. I can’t really explain his last two starts but he was running in the right sort of races at least and if he bounces back to the form he showed on his first two starts he’d be entitled to be thereabouts.

    Bon chance all!

Looking for some value e.w I keep coming back to Lahore , he not run a yard all year but he was 6th here off a lot higher mark last year. Compared to the likes of Mr Lupton ( who I love ) he,s thrown in off no weight and surely worth a punt at a silly price , there,s a few horses in this in form but running off high marks , I just have a feeling we will see a few well handicapped horses come to the fore

I need to keep reminding myself that it pays to back the extremes of the draw in this race , winner ran a cracker and the 2nd may yet prove to be more than a handicapper

Congratulations to the winners, but absolutely disgraceful Bielsa was the one to race on the stands side.

You have to remember that Bielsa has previous form at sneaking in unnoticed…

My own high drawn selection, Summerghand, was stymied once most of the high drawn veered towards the centre. He needs covering up and just following Bielsa wouldn’t have been any good. I did say in the Silver Cup thread that I thought the stands’ rail was a strong place to be, but it seems the jockeys don’t read TRF!

Count D’Orsay ran another decent race and I think is worth perservering with in six furlong races.
