Hi Chaps,
Eagle eyed- time gurus might have already noticed that the Southwell fibresand surface is running faster than usual.
Today’s Conditions sprint, won easily by Noble Storm, was run in an unusually fast time, I was informed, as was one of the earlier maidens.
Work took place in September. Apparently, the surface has been substantially reconfigured (not fully relaid, but altered and refreshed), since last winter – the first time major work has been done since the flood damage several years hence.
Will be interesting to see the impact of the changes on results.
Just for info.

Might also be partly due to the amount of rain in the area recently? My local golf course has certainly been soggier for the past fortnight than it’s been at any other time this year.
