No he is right in a way. A pal of mine lives out there and we had a good chat about it a year ago when he was here.
In some states ( the main ones ) it is illegal for firms to entice punters by offering free bets to join. However what people do is open an account and not use it, then the promotions come through a few days after you have joined.
