In your absence Bill…. because you were still mopping up the tears for Mr Corbyn…. no, no Bill, he’s not a jockey, you misunderstood the written word… it said joker…. but I was at a loss being far removed from politics here in the South Wales valleys. Whatever you lot decide up at Westminster doesn’t apply down here with the riffraff, we just tend to do as we are told…so much for something called “devolution”…. nonetheless, they can’t stop me making money from the horses, they’ll probably try to find a way, but I’ll dodge all that crap, if they start taxing betting again, I’ll stop ’em, I’ll lose on purpose…. no, no Bill, I’m not doing it on purpose NOW, it just looks that way….

December 13, 2019 at 23:27 #1477254Now Nathan, are you here forever, or is it just teasing us with the smell of that farmyard perfume that your wearing…. I seem to remember from way back, that you might be a wurzel wangler from the cider county…. both young Billy and I were getting our things together (heads) to come up with a plan. Well, in the old sod’s absence… whilst he was shedding a tear over said Corbyn, I was looking at another forum that belonged to the place of my specific database…. are you still with me Nathan, or do you require me to continue in words of only one syllable???… (oooh!!…. I’m having to use a spell check now, so perhaps the alcoholic content of this amber nectar, is taking control), but, I don’t care anyway. As I was saying, this other forum is rabbiting on about the profits of LAYING, what a load of crap that is…. Laying is only for failed tipsters…. if used for trading, THAT I can understand and consider profitable for some of the more experienced traders…. but I am NOT one of those, so I cannot understand the enjoyment of Laying just for laying sake.
The odds are never favourable (not that I can see) and I think that there are far better profitable angles out there…. I think that I can get more profit with less risk with PLACE bets, I might be way out of order here, but I think that getting a horse to PLACE at reasonable odds is far more profitable that Laying…. at level stakes.
What do you reckon to that Nathan????… if your still with us…. or will you leave Bill and myself to wallow in a mudbath of our own making……. I’m off to bed now, I think that I might be just a tad p***ed…. but hopefully, it will still make sense…. it’s a serious question…. is PLACE betting more profitable than Laying????MrE
December 13, 2019 at 23:38 #1477255Hi Bill…. it’s 11.35pm and my heads gone funny already…. is old age really THIS bad??… so bad that I have to go to bed BEFORE midnight. I’m so ashamed, so embarrassed, the other young ‘uns are having fun, the time of their lives, dancing and prancing with their skirts flying high and exposing their knickers…. oh dear, how I miss it all…

December 14, 2019 at 00:06 #1477258is PLACE betting more profitable than Laying????
I think any form of betting can be profitable if done the right way
discipline and patience being two key tools
unfortunately I get bored and enjoy a bet so will never be too far in the blue
but because I bet small will not lose a lot eitherPlace betting is good for the high strike rates
Skybet offer me a £5.00 free bet if I bet £25.00 a week on evens or above so I tend to bet the place market a lot when doing that
I’ve never really done that well in laying, it seems a bit too high risk for my liking or if laying short ones the strike rate is lower. If I see a horse that is short who I think may not be at its best on the going or distance or trainer not in great form I normal look for something to take it on with rather than laying.Gaelic Warrior Gold Cup Winner 2026
December 14, 2019 at 08:14 #1477276Flipping heck, you have a day off and the kiddies go mad on their keyboards.
Nathan, I am waiting on the Sth. African prices before running up any overnight winnings but the idea looks good I especially like the sheikh’s.
MrE, is it the tablets or the Welsh water in the spirits putting you on a high. You understand how sensitive I am regarding my plumbing but do please stop sending me messages for my second hand Tenna’s, I realise they will have dried out by the time postman Pat delivers them but it simply is not healthy. I understand you dry out your tea bags for a second brew but this is NOT the same.
Place betting. Is it my experience or do others feel the same way because I find it harder to pick places than winners, I am sure jockey’s ease off when they realise they cannot win, or am I wrong?
Devolution, eh MrE. First off I regard Somerset as part of England and they must hang on in there, without Scrumpy we could go bust. On a more serious note, I have wanted away from Europe for many a year and it will be a happy day for me when we control our own destiny and so what right have we got when depriving other parts of the UK should they want to control their own future. I believe if you have a player who heart is not in the team it is much better to let them go. We gave back all the “pink” on the old maps why can’t we do like wise on our own shores? That’s my opinion for what it is worth.
Now get down to the chemist MrE and get some nice fresh clean Tenna’s.

December 14, 2019 at 09:38 #14772802 x Nr’s at Ascot (Perth) and then my final selection failed leaving me with a small overnight loss down under and so it equates to small(er) Sth. African stakes but at last I have my early prices: –
MILFORD SOUND ew @ 13/2
APACHE TOO @ 5/1 & NOBLE SECRET ew @ 20/1 (That would be nice)
ALRAMZ @ 1/1
ASBAAL is a non runner
Good luck Nathan

December 14, 2019 at 10:21 #1477287OTHER STRANGE PLACES….
When I looked at some of my past results, I noticed that the majority of mine got stuffed but were PLACED, so it required a bit of homework going back over a couple of months. The results were OK, but nothing more than that…. I did notice something that made me perk up a bit and I am in the process of checking it out, but there might be something in it…. probably not, but there just might…. I was surprised at some of the place prices, they were better than the price of my winners….
must look deeper….

December 14, 2019 at 10:30 #1477290DECIPLINE & PATIENCE says Nathan should be key to finding a winning solution.
How can anyone disagree but if we all had such fine qualities the bookies would go bust. How frustrating it is to know the way but not too take it. Welcome to my world Nathan.

December 14, 2019 at 15:45 #1477329Too right Bill….. my poor bottom is sore now, I don’t think that Matron is the cause of that on this occasion, it’s those bookies that keep on kicking it…. I don’t know how much more that I can take, the last two kicks only just missed my little plum duffs….

MrE
Couldn’t get the 5 on the bounce Bill, you’ll have to be happy with only 3……
December 15, 2019 at 12:16 #1477383I suggested BIG BAD BEAR and how much am I now wishing I had taken the available price of 4/6 after it won @ 1/4.
So many times in the past I have followed the shortie only to get turned over, still 1/4 is better than money in the bank.
Nappy Rash, mmmm, MrE I have told you before not to reuse those Tenna pads they are full of bacteria, now get down to the chemist and buy some new ones.

December 15, 2019 at 16:09 #1477403Billy, you little tinker….. the NE14UKGGS had a nice little trio today, just when I was thinking of putting it to bed for this year….
We started posting these on December 5th so we have now reached a nice profit of 8pts in 10 days….. and a crappy losing run of 8, that was enough to make me doubt the system…. sorry system….
Now I have to decide to continue or stop whilst I’m in front….
